YouTuber Blurbs recently released a video showcasing their own Red Dead Redemption 2 mod, which makes horses and carriages move extremely fast. It isn’t constant, though – they’ll often take a pause, before moving extremely fast again. This creates absolutely chaotic scenes and jumpscares, turning Red Dead Redemption 2 into a game of constant survival. Some of the funniest moments in the video happen in Saint Denis, where horses and carriages are constantly a threat. Blurbs would describe his creation as “a horror game,” and there are plenty of deaths to be seen here. Admittedly, it looks like great fun, though.

Throughout the video, Blurbs attempts to complete several Red Dead Redemption 2 missions. This ultimately proved to be an impossible task, as the horses dying or carriages being destroyed would often result in these missions being instantly failed. It’s definitely a mod that would be great for temporary chaos rather than for any complete playthrough of the game. Unfortunately, Blurbs has yet to make the mod publicly available, but hopefully, they will in the future, so that players can enjoy it for themselves.

In the absence of Red Dead Redemption 3, it’s great to see that modders are continuing to create their own fun in RDR2. The recent release of the original game on PC has also seen tons of Red Dead Redemption mods arrive for the first time, so it’ll be interesting to see what creators do over time.
