While Moon Knight was directly teased in Marvel Rival‘s Psylocke trailer, NetEase games has finally confirmed the anticipated character in a new trailer. Moon Knight is considered a Dualist style character, joining the likes of Winter Soldier, Punisher and others. Duelists in Marvel Rivals are similar to Damage types in Overwatch 2, characters that excel at attacking and are more offensive oriented than Vanguards or Strategists, though they typically have lower health to balance them out.
Marvel Rivals Reveals Moon Knight’s Abilities
While brief, the trailer gives players a good look at Moon Knight as he throws Crescent Darts that can bounce between targets. He also has access to Moon Blades that slice towards their target and can summon a sacred ankh that can be placed on the ground. However, his flashy ultimate literally calls down spectral fists of Khonshu, which slam into the ground in a wide area for sustained damage. The trailer even references Moon Knight’s split personalities, writing the names of Marc Spector, Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley.
With less than a month left before Marvel Rivals launches, the character reveals so far have followed an earlier leak which seemingly confirmed the bulk of the game’s planned roster. The massive Marvel Rivals leak still has a few unannounced characters on it, such as Squirrel Girl and Ultron, but it also highlighted a handful of new maps as well, like Krakoa, Empire of Eternal Night, and more.
