Marvel Rivals has just confirmed another addition to its launch roster: Moon Knight. This was just confirmed with a new trailer, giving us a look at Moon Knight in action.
Unsurprisingly, Moon Knight is a duelist, so he’s focused on dealing damage. We can see that here in the brief look at his gameplay in the announcement trailer. Better yet, the trailer confirms that it won’t be long until we’re playing as Moon Knight ourselves, as he’ll be in the game from the get-go, when it launches on December 6.
New Marvel Rivals Trailer Shows Off Moon Knight Gameplay
It isn’t surprising to see that Moon Knight will be in the game from launch. He was teased at the end of the Psylocke character trailer, suggesting that he would be on the roster at some point. Then, in an interview with TheGamer, Marvel Rivals developers told us that there would be more additions to the roster at launch, pretty much confirming that Moon Knight would be playable in December.
Moon Knight is joined by other new characters at launch: Psylocke, Captain America, and The Winter Soldier. It remains to be seen if any more are confirmed ahead of its launch next month. It’s very possible, especially with executive producer, Danny Koo, previously saying that no character from the Marvel comics is off the table when it comes to an inclusion in Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals’ full launch on December 6 comes after a successful beta period this summer. It comes at an interesting time for the hero shooter genre, as it would have originally been competing against Concord – only for that to crash and burn not long after its own launch. Marvel Rival devs are adamant that this won’t be a repeat of Concord, however, citing positive player feedback.
Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 third-person shooter with teams comprised of comic book heroes and villains. It features a range of destructible maps from across the Marvel universe, with new content added periodically.
