Mario and Luigi: Brothership – Arc’s Secret Side Quest Guide

Mario and Luigi: Brothership - Arc's Secret Side Quest Guide

Side quests are unlocked after connecting the first few islands in Mario and Luigi: Brothership and getting Arc out of the container on the beach. Some side quests do have a time limit, meaning players will need to complete them quickly before progressing the main story otherwise they are lost.

Where To Find Arc’s Spyglass is one of the first side quests players will get, and it is also time-sensitive. The reward for this quest is very useful early into the game, so it’s best to tackle it right away even if it’s not time-sensitive.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership isn’t a typical turn-based RPG, so don’t go into battle without these mustachioed tips in mind.

Where To Find Arc’s Spyglass In Mario and Luigi: Brothership

The only hint Arc has for the brothers is that the Spyglass was lost on Raynforst Island. If this is your first time revisiting the island, you can also take the time to collect all the Sprite Bulbs on the island. To find the Spyglass, you’ll need to ask around with the locals, with the correct person to ask is in the second section of the island right in front of the two sets of flowers.

Head to the left set of flowers and cross over them and continue up the hill until you reach the next pair of locals who are discussing the Invizilizard, and that it looks like it’s guarding something. Before approaching, make sure your HP and BP are restored, as you’ll need to fight five level 8 Invizilizards once you approach.

How To Beat The Invizilizards

The main trick to this fight is using Luigi’s Green Shell, as it’s able to hit multiple enemies both during the wind-up and with the resulting main attack, you’ll just need to make sure you press all the right buttons to make it go through. Invizilizards have two attacks, the tongue attack or the one where they march forward while invisible. While both can be countered by jumping on them, the invisible attack is much easier to land as there are more frames where the Invizilizard is below the brothers, so watch for that attack and take advantage of it when you can.

After defeating the Invizilards, you’ll get Arc’s Spyglass and can return it to them on Shapeshift Island.

Reward For Arc’s Secret Side Quest In Mario and Luigi: Brothership

Mario With The Arc Scope Equipped

The reward for this quest is the Arc Scope accessory.

  • +2 Speed
  • +15% EXP earned in battle if you take no damage.

Leveling up early on can take some time even though the fights aren’t very difficult, but this accessory can help speed up the process, especially when fighting weaker enemies you can defeat without taking damage. While it does require you to not take damage, this can be done fairly easily by dodging or even countering enemy attacks, which are also fairly easy against the earlier enemies of the game. While this does take up one accessory slot, you can unlock a second one on both brothers fairly early into the game.
