Whenever you arrive in new towns and cities in Metaphor: ReFantazio, you’ll find fresh side quests and new bounties. The Greater One-Eyed Scoundrel is one such bounty that is up for grabs when you reach Virga Island, and it’ll send you deep into the less-than-pretty Scoundrel’s Hold optional dungeon to hunt down a Psyocropos.

The Scoundrel’s Hold is infested with annoying Goborn enemies, and its complex layout can easily lead you astray. On top of that, several treasure chests that contain useful gear, along with one of Neuras’s relics and some loot, are dotted throughout, making thorough exploration worthwhile before entering the boss’s room.

After setting a course east of the Grand Trad, you’ll arrive in the Scoundrel’s Hold on the next day. While the enemy variety is limited, some enemies here can be tough to handle. Knowing the weakness of each enemy in Scoundrel’s Hold will serve you well as you explore its caverns.

There are Goborn Esto grunts and high-level Goborn Ligo enemies here. Any party member with the Mage or Healer Lineages will enrage them, and they have no weakness save for their vulnerability to Sleep.

Weak to Wind but immediately flees on its turn icon.

The first floor of the Scoundrel’s Hold is pretty small and straightforward, but it’s not without its fair share of treasure and loot. Here’s how to find them.

Inside a chest that you reach by entering through a crawl space on the left.

Iron Sand

Head right where the path splits, and it’ll be behind three columns.

Great Spirit Dust

In the northern isolated section, it is only reachable from the second level via the first ladder that goes up.

You’ll enter the second level of the Scoundrel’s Hold by simply going down the lone ladder on the first floor. Here, you’ll encounter a bunch of confusing ladders and a path that circles around, but there’s no need to get lost because this level has plenty of chests and loot scattered around for the taking, which we’ll help you get to.

At the end of the eastern corridor.

Inside a chest in the northeastern compartment.

Iron Sand

Head up the easternmost corridor and take a left to find it.

Ruby

Only accessible from the northeastern ladder on the third level.

Gold Beetle

Only accessible from the northeastern ladder on the third level.

The exclamation mark points at a lever that unlocks a looping shortcut. You’ll reach it through a crawl space on the upper left section of the map.

Before taking on the boss and claiming the Greater One-Eyed Scoundrel bounty, there are still a few trinkets to grab on this level. You can reach the third floor by heading down the ladder found in the center compartment, accessed through a crawl space just before unlocking the shortcut on the second level.

You’ll also find the Talkative Tooth in one of the corners after arriving here. It’ll share some useful tips on switching party members during squad battles.
