Castles is the Perfect Blueprint for a New TES 6 Feature

Castles is the Perfect Blueprint for a New TES 6 Feature

After the success of Fallout Shelter, it was only a matter of time before Bethesda took the concept to its other massive franchises. Back in September, the studio did just that with the release of The Elder Scrolls: Castles. Through that, players have gotten to experience a brand-new unique take on the world of Tamriel. And while it remains to be seen just how much players love the concept, The Elder Scrolls 6 may want to consider taking it for a spin.

Much like Fallout Shelter before it, The Elder Scrolls: Castles has given players a management game set within the fantasy world. Now, they can manage their very own castle and forge a dynasty that will last a lifetime. Even though not much is known about The Elder Scrolls 6 yet, it could also take that concept and run with it. There is so much potential for a settlement-like feature within Tamriel, and hopefully, this spin-off title was just a test of what is to come.

Werewolves and vampires have frequently appeared in The Elder Scrolls, and The Elder Scrolls 6 probably won’t shake up their dynamic.

The Elder Scrolls: Castles is the Fallout Shelter of Tamriel

The Elder Scrolls: Castles has once again plunged players into the fantastical world of Tamriel, but this time they are hardly the heroes. Instead, they are simply the rulers of a fledgling kingdom, and it is up to them to build their dynasty. To do this, they must manage their castle, make tough decisions, embark on epic quests, and do everything that they would expect while trying to make their mark across Tamriel.

The gameplay is heavily reminiscent of Fallout Shelter, but there are a few new additions that help set it apart and cement it within The Elder Scrolls franchise. All of that makes for an incredibly unique take on the iconic franchise, the likes of which the studio has not dabbled in before. However, with the addition of settlements in Fallout 4, camps in Fallout 76, and outposts in Starfield, this game could just be the start of what The Elder Scrolls 6 plans to bring to the table.

The Elder Scrolls 6 Would Thrive With a Management Feature

Bethesda seems to be exploring base management features within all its major IPs, so there is a strong chance that The Elder Scrolls 6 will have its own settlement feature. The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim already dabbled in it with the Hearthfire DLC, but with The Elder Scrolls: Castle, the studio can craft something even stronger. The next game could take the concepts, expand upon them even more, and give players the feeling of truly being a king within Tamriel.

The Elder Scrolls 6 could task players with building up their own personal kingdoms filled to the brim with various settlements. Through this, they could hire servants, arm soldiers, prepare defenses, and ensure that these villages have enough resources to thrive. Additionally, players might face countless random events or quests that they must complete in order to keep things running smoothly. To make it even more interesting, Bethesda could even add in some extremely tough decisions that can change the entire trajectory of their peoples’ lives, like ruling on a crime.

Of course, the primary focus of The Elder Scrolls 6 should be on delivering another stellar fantasy RPG, but alongside that could come a deep kingdom building feature for fans of the genre to delve into. Not only could it be the perfect form of side content, but it could also really help set this adventure apart from the rest. Plus, it may even help get players to check out what The Elder Scrolls: Castles has to offer.
