Best Ways to Earn Coins in Brighter Shores
As you explore the towns of Brighter Shores, you will come across many merchants willing to buy and sell items. Some of these trades can be farmed repeatedly to earn coins. Below is a list of early-game trades recommended for beginners looking to earn coins:
Selling Food
Chef is one of the many professions available in Brighter Shores. South of the training ground, you will find The Delectable Dab restaurant, where you can progress your Chef profession by learning recipes and cooking food items. If you want to earn money while leveling up, you can sell Basic Bacon Sandwiches and Lesser Jellied Eels to the Head Chef.
The Basic Bacon Sandwich recipe is available from the start. You can buy ingredients from Kevin’s Ingredient Merchant in front of The Delectable Dab. Each Basic Bacon Sandwich sells for 560 Copper coins, while the ingredients cost only 400 Copper coins. However, you will need to make multiple trips from Kevin’s shop to the kitchen.
After selling some Basic Bacon Sandwiches, you will reach Chef level 2, unlocking the recipe for Lesser Jellied Eels. Since Lesser Eels are a common fish at Eel Street Bridge, you can catch them, buy Gelatin from Kevin, and cook Lesser Jellied Eels at The Delectable Dab. One Lesser Jellied Eel sells for 556 Copper coins, while Gelatin costs only 200 Copper coins, and you can catch as many Lesser Eels as you can store at Eel Street Bridge.
If you reach Chef level 9, you will unlock Chef’s Bounties, which are special delivery requests that pay significantly more than selling food to the Head Chef.

Selling Fish
Fishing is another popular profession in Brighter Shores. Early in the game, you will discover Eel Street Bridge, a fishing spot for catching eels. After obtaining a Fishing Spear from Melv’s Fishing Supplies, you can start your journey as an angler. Begin by capturing Mottled Flounder on the East Coast to reach Fisherman level 2, then move to Eel Street Bridge to catch Lesser Eels.
Once your backpack is full of eels, head south of Eel Street Bridge to The Frequently Fresh Fish Stall, where you can sell various fish. Even basic fish like Mottled Flounder and Lesser Eels sell for over 150 Copper coins. As you level up the Fisherman profession, you will unlock new species of fish that sell for higher prices.

Fighting Enemies and Selling Equipment
In Brighter Shores, you will encounter various enemies, from street thugs to dangerous goblins. Defeating them earns you coins and Guard XP, needed to increase your Guard level. Additionally, enemies may drop items like armor, helmets, and weapons. These items are often no better than the equipment you already have.
If you have collected extra equipment and don’t know what to do with it, selling it to the Quartermaster is a straightforward way to earn coins. Fighting enemies is a common activity in Brighter Shores, so you will often find extra equipment on the ground. Feel free to sell it to make some extra money.
4) Opening Chests
Opening chests is arguably the easiest way to earn coins in Brighter Shores. Inside the Barracks at the Training Grounds, you will find chests next to the trainees’ beds. Looting these chests can yield between 60-400 Copper coins, though it’s usually on the lower end.
Fortunately, the chests reset once you leave the Barracks. You can re-enter the room and loot the chests to collect more copper coins. Rinse and repeat for a slow but steady income of coins in Brighter Shores.
