There are a lot of new features in Planet Coaster 2, but at the heart of all the new content are the main attraction: Attractions. Of course, Planet Coaster and Planet Coaster 2 are incredibly in-depth Coaster simulators with great customization systems that allow you to essentially make a ride from scratch – but the game offers a large selection of pre-built rides you can use, too.

The best Planet Coaster 2 attractions tend to be those that have balanced Excitement, Fear, and Nausea stats, though there are some notable exceptions. Generally, you can’t go wrong with any of the newly updated Planet Coaster 2 rides, but these are the best for their unique features, their stat balance, or the potential to become a main feature in your park.

Side Spin

Cost: $35,973.36

• Ride Type: Spinning Coaster

The Side Spin coaster is one of the best new Planet Coaster 2 rides because it does something few Coasters in the game can do: rotate the car as it travels along the track. At first glance, it doesn’t look too intimidating, but try the ride in First Person mode to see what guests experience – it’s a lot more exciting than first meets the eye.

The benefit of this relatively expensive Planet Coaster 2 attraction are its low Nausea stat and balanced Fear and Excitement stats. This makes the ride appeal to a wider range of Guests, and you can expect longer lines than more niche attractions.

Wave Force

Cost: $10,927.71

• Ride Type: Narrow Log Flume

Wave Force is a Tracked Ride that travels slowly but generates a surprising amount of Excitement and Fear in its riders. This Log Flume takes Guests up a small ramp to quickly descend through a series of twists and turns, leading to a lift that takes Guests to the top of a large drop into a pool of water (also a new Planet Coaster 2 feature) right before turning to the end.

What makes this ride stand out is its size, cost, and balanced stats. The Excitement level is in the medium range, and the Fear and Nausea ratings are low enough to not cause too many issues with your Guests. Place this ride near your newly-built pool area, a new feature available with Planet Coaster 2.

The Spinster

Cost: $18,487.75

• Ride Type: Spinning Coaster

Like Side Swipe, The Spinster is a Spinning Coaster with cars that will spin in place as they travel along the coaster track. It takes up a lot more space than Side Swipe, but it’s about half the cost and has a fun default car that’s shaped like a squished mouse.

The Spinster’s main flaw is that its stats are pretty low across the board. Having low Nausea and Fear are usually good signs, but a low Excitement level means the ride will not attract anyone seeking thrills. Keep this ride near a dedicated Kids’ attraction zone in your park for optimal Guest intake.

Wild Blue

Cost: $3,022.50

• Ride Type: Swinging Flat Ride

Wild Blue is a great starting attraction for players just starting their parks in Planet Coaster 2. What makes this a fantastic Flat Ride so good are two things: its extremely low cost, and its high Excitement level.

This Flat Ride only costs about $3,000 in funds, making it one of the best first attractions you can build in a park to quickly start generating revenue. Though the Fear and Nausea levels are high, its low cost and Excitement level mostly balance this out, and you can expect lots of Guests to make their way here after opening your park for the first time.

Mythology The Cube 02

Cost: $7,825.50

• Ride Type: Spinning Flat Ride

The Cube comes in a few different Themes in Planet Coaster 2, but the Mythology cube stands out particularly well. Using the new Mythology theme, which pulls mostly from Ancient Greek aesthetics, The Cube turns from a plain-ish looking Flat Ride to a standout, central feature in a well-developed Mythology area of your park.

Though The Cube has a high Excitement stat, it is slightly limited by a medium Fear and Nausea stat – Nausea is particularly high. Be sure to keep Bins near the end of the ride and consider putting out an ad for Thrill-seeking Guests to target visitors who will be likely to try this one out.

Reef Break

Cost: $56,993.16

• Ride Type: Water Coaster

The Reef Break attraction is one of the most expensive Planet Coaster 2 Coasters and one of the most elaborate. The ride takes guests into a water-filled flume for the first segment, then lifts the coaster high above the park and drops them into a high-speed, twisty maze of rails before launching them into a final splash pool at the end, slowing the car down and drenching guests.

Despite its cost, or perhaps because of it, the stats of this ride are quite well-balanced. Reef Break comes with low Nausea, despite some high-speed segments and turns, and both its Fear and Excitement stats are at levels that are pretty acceptable levels for park attendants of all preferences.

Ultimate Speedway

Cost: $48,307.14

• Ride Type: Launched Pneumatic Coaster

The Ultimate Speedway is one of the best new rides in Planet Coaster 2 because of its simplicity and extremely high Excitement stat. This ride simply sees guests launch extremely fast out of the car bay at near-max acceleration, then turn around two wide bends to come back to the car station extremely quickly.

Though this best Planet Coaster 2 ride costs nearly $50,000 as a pre-built Coaster, it’s one of the most exciting rides in the whole game, and it takes no time at all for a car to finish a lap. This gives the ride a very fast turnover rate, and as long as you can maintain a constant line, it will be a huge source of revenue for your park.

Planet Coaster 2 Workshop Rides

Player-Created Rides For Your Park

One of the best features in Planet Coaster 2 is the ability to search the Frontier Workshop for custom Blueprints. Attractions in Planet Coaster 2 are extremely customizable, thanks in large part to the Scenery Group tool and the ability for players to attach Scenery directly to rides and cars, and now players can share them online for others to instantly download.

Though there are plenty of pre-built Coasters in Planet Coaster 2, you will find that the Frontier Workshop contains a bounty of creative player-created attractions, from imitations of real-life rides to completely original, and downright impressive, custom ones. Many of these Rides do things that most players, like launching a car out of a cannon, or sending Guests on what appears to be an insane and overcomplicated Coaster that turns out to have very balanced (and therefore profitable) stats.

Spend some time in the Frontier Workshop browsing the various tabs and downloading some of your favorite custom creations. Once these have been downloaded, you can find them in the respective Blueprint menu – custom Coasters can be found alongside pre-built Coasters, custom Shops and Flat Rides will be found in those menus, and so on.
