The arsenal available in Call of Duty: Warzone will soon pass a major milestone of 200 weapons to pick and choose from. Over the years, Call of Duty: Warzone has accumulated a massive armory due to its persistent nature.
It’s only been a few years since Call of Duty: Warzone was first released 2020, built on the back of the 2019 Modern Warfare reboot. And yet, in that time, the free-to-play arm of Call of Duty has rapidly become a core part of the franchise, with new Warzone seasons bookending “main” Call of Duty game releases. Now developer Treyarch has begun detailing its plans for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 seasons and their attendant integration into Warzone, which naturally includes the addition of new weapons to the game’s burgeoning arsenal.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s Hidden World at War Map is Likely More Than It Seems
Players have found a hidden World at War map in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, likely hinting at a huge focus on past maps in the franchise’s future.
The Warzone armory is now so big, in fact, that according to a post by Call of Duty news account CharlieINTEL, the addition of Black Ops 6 weapons to the Call of Duty: Warzone armory will expand it to 177 weapons in total. With even more to be added in coming seasons, it’s not hard to see it breaching 200 available armaments in the near future.
Call of Duty: Warzone Weapons List is Getting Increasingly Huge
The Call of Duty: Warzone armory is supplied by three games: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, and the newly-released Black Ops 6. Modern Warfare 2 has the greatest representation in the selection, with more than 77 weapons across all categories. Modern Warfare 2 also holds the honor of introducing Warzone‘s primary melee weapon, the divisive Call of Duty Riot Shield. Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 6 add 60 and 40 weapons, respectively.
Reaction to the factoid from Call of Duty: Warzone players was mixed. Many players were impressed that Warzone has such a large selection of weapons, but at the same time, joked that the majority of players will just run the same handful of picks that matches whatever the current Call of Duty meta loadout happens to be. Some players called for the Modern Warfare 2 weapons to be phased out of the game gradually to keep the selection manageable. Others suggested a more radical solution: forcing all players to only use the current Call of Duty game’s guns, in this case Black Ops 6‘s. This move, they said, would cut down on “clutter” and give players who only play Warzone a new grind, as introducing new guns will force players to pursue new sets of unlocks and try new strategies rather than stick to the loadout they’ve already “maxed out.”
