Naruto is currently absent in the Boruto story. He could return as the new Sage of Six Paths.

Right now, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Boruto has reached an unprecedented level of power, where few can rival him. In fact, his strength has reached such a level that fans are wondering whether he has already surpassed what Naruto Uzumaki achieved in terms of strength.

Boruto Uzumaki’s Current Level Of Strength In The Story

  • Boruto Trained Under Sasuke
  • Kashin Koji’s Prescience Aided Boruto

Boruto Uzumaki is quite easily one of the strongest characters in the Boruto world at this point in time. Although Boruto does not have full control over the Karma, he has actually reached a level where he doesn’t even need the Karma to beat the top tiers. The secret to Boruto’s strength was revealed in the story rather recently. First off, Boruto trained with Sasuke for about a year. In this time, Sasuke drilled into him all the skills that he had, and helped him reach a very high level. Of course, this did not mean that Boruto was on Sasuke’s level of strength. Boruto was still quite inferior to him, but the fact was that he had the basis to grow in every department that Sasuke trained him in. Unfortunately for Boruto, Sasuke was turned into a tree by the Claw Grimes, which eventually forced him to remain on the run for quite some time. Eventually, Boruto Uzumaki ran into Kashin Koji. Using his new Prescience shinjutsu, Koji showed him multiple timelines and the future along with it.

From these multiple timelines, Koji gathered all the Jutsu that Boruto was capable of learning, and taught them to him in the present. This allowed Boruto to gain tremendous amounts of strength in a short span of time, as well as learn all the Jutsu that he potentially could in alternate realities. This made Boruto Uzumaki quite strong and taught him Jutsu, such as Uzuhiko, and at the same time, convenient abilities, such as the Flying Thunder God technique. This strengthened Boruto tremendously, and fans know that Kashin Koji himself must have aided him to grow physically as well. Clearly, right now, Boruto is very powerful, and fans got a glimpse of that at the beginning of Two Blue Vortex.

Boruto fought against Code, who, at this point, was without his limiters, and was still able to defeat him rather effortlessly. By this point, Code was potentially stronger than even Jigen, but was still not anywhere near Boruto’s level. Later on, Boruto even fought against the Shinju, and in this battle, it was clear for the fans to see that they were not as strong as him, with the exception of Jura. When Boruto fought Hidari, he unleashed his full strength and delivered such a blow to him that he was essentially destroyed. Of course, he was aided by Kawaki in this battle, but it was clear for the fans to see that Boruto was far superior. At the very least, it can be said that Boruto’s power right now is beyond that of Jigen and greater than most of the Shinju, with the exception of Jura.

While Naruto Uzumaki likely does not compare to Boruto in his base forms, fans know that he reached a very high level when utilizing the Six Paths Sage Mode in the story. Naruto was able to fight back against Momoshiki, and he did this with half his strength. While Momoshiki should not be as strong as Isshiki, as many fans assume to be the case, he is often equated by the author with Isshiki on many occasions, despite the latter looking much stronger. While Isshiki might be stronger than Momoshiki, fans also know that Naruto struggled to defeat Jigen, at the very least, whom Boruto should be stronger than by now.

That said, one thing that quite a lot of the fans forget is that in order to fight against Naruto and Sasuke, Jigen borrowed energy from the Ten Tails. This chakra, which was taken from the Ten Tails in abundance, helped him get much stronger than he actually was and fight against these two monstrously powerful individuals. Without the power of the Ten Tails, Jigen would most likely have lost. Despite having the power Of the Ten-Tails, Jigen’s vessel cracked at the end, which means that it had hit its limit. Clearly, with a major amp coming from the Ten Tails, Jigen was stronger, but certainly not without the amp, which is something that fans do not keep in mind.

Sasuke was nerfed in Boruto. In Two Blue Vortex, he might get a power up.

Regardless, fans know that the Six Paths Sage Mode is not with Naruto Uzumaki anymore. In order to beat Isshiki, Naruto tapped into a new power, which led to him completely overwhelming Isshiki in battle and it was clear for the fans to see that there was a massive difference in the power level of these two individuals. This was made possible by Naruto tapping into the power of Baryon Mode, which allowed him to create a totally new form of energy and utilize it in battle. Naruto could also shave Isshiki’s own chakra and lifespan with each blow, or every time they made contact with one another. This power-up did not last long, but saw Naruto reach his peak. At his peak, Naruto is far superior to Boruto.

Boruto Might Reach Even Higher Heights Than Naruto Uzumaki

Clearly, Boruto Uzumaki is very powerful and is on the path to surpass Naruto. The next generation usually always surpasses the previous one in the franchise, and here, Boruto should have the tools to reach a level that Naruto couldn’t. After all, he’s incredibly gifted, has a strong connection to the Otsutsuki, and on top of that, received plenty of aid from Sasuke and Kashin Koji. Boruto even has Momoshiki which, if he manages to control, gives him a massive boost, and then there is the case of the Jougan, which, as things stand, continues to remain a massive mystery. At the peak of his powers, Boruto could potentially go on to rival Naruto’s Baryon Mode.

Of course, a case can be made for Boruto suppressing this level, but as things stand, he isn’t anywhere close to Naruto’s Baryon Mode level and cannot defeat him in combat if the two were to ever meet. What the future holds for Boruto, fans do not know. But, the same can be said for Naruto Uzumaki, because eventually, he will have to be freed, and fans don’t know what level of strength he will be aiming to attain once he does return.
