If you’re jumping into War Thunder for the first time, you should learn some basics about the vehicles you can use.
The 30005 error isn’t a critical one, and you can easily fix it and go back to gaming in no time. It is connected to Gajin’s (War Thunder developer company) anti-cheat service called Easy Anti-Cheat and there are a couple of reasons why you might see it.
How To Repair Easy Anti-Cheat Software
The first fix you should try is repairing the Easy Anti-Cheat software.
To do this, open the game’s installation folder usually located under disk name > Program Files > War Thunder > Easy Anti-Cheat.
Right-click on the EasyAntiCheat_Setup found in the folder and run the Repair Service as an administrator.
After the process is complete, restart the game and/or your whole PC.
How To Check If Easy Anti-Cheat Is Disabled
You can also check whether your Easy Anti-Cheat service is disabled. You can do this by following these instructions:
- Command prompt (Windows key + R)
- Type ‘services.msc’.
- Choose EasyAntiCheat from the list.
- Click Start.
- Select Startup Type.
- Select Automatic.
How To Delete The Sys File
Another thing that you can try to tackle this War Thunder error is to remove the .sys file. To find this file, you need to visit disk name > Program Files > EasyAntiCheat.
Notice that you don’t need to visit the game’s folder this time, but instead, go to the individual folder of the anti-cheat software.
Once you’re in EasyAntiCheat folder, just remove the .sys file. If your system won’t allow you to remove the file restart your PC and try again and make sure you’re logged in as administrator.
How To Check Firewall And Anti-Virus Software
Firewall and anti-virus software often block certain programs and recognize them as malicious, so you can try disabling both to see whether the 30005 error code is still popping up.
Firewall and anti-virus software protect your PC from threats, so you should avoid disabling these.
One way to get around disabling them entirely is that you can add exceptions. For Windows Firewall, this can be done by opening Firewall > Allow an app through firewall > Change Settings > Allow another app.
