Boss fights in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games let the iconic villains of the franchise shine with special attacks on big stages, oftentimes full of hazards and minions. TMNT: Mutants Unleashed is no exception to the rule, as you can face many well-known characters in between social interactions with the supporting cast and lots of side quests.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed Review – A Real Shellshock
Mutants Unleashed is rough around the edges, but it’s also surprisingly ambitious and gets the Mutant Mayhem Turtles spot-on.
These boss fights take you out of the regular gameplay loop with different mechanics and perspectives, although they aren’t very rewarding. Hardcore TMNT fans are always looking to fight iconic foes, especially Bebop and Rocksteady, who never miss the chance to kick some shell, and you have a total of seven bosses and a secret fight to unlock in Mutants Unleashed.

Genghis Frog
Conquer Yourself
The second boss in the game’s story, Genghis Frog, doesn’t have much challenge to offer. The fight has two stages where you can simply mash a combo enough times to beat Genghis without hassle. It feels like Genghis, once part of the Punk Frog clan, isn’t much stronger than a regular enemy in the game.
The cutscene leading to this boss fight confirms who the main villain of TMNT: Mutants Unleashed is, so maybe the developers didn’t want an overly complex boss fight after such a revelation.

Mikey
Party Dude Mayhem
Your very own brother Michelangelo gets infected by the mysterious pheromone that’s making all mutants go haywire, and you need to knock him down before he causes mayhem. You can easily dodge his attacks, but it’s recommended to go all out before he can do anything to avoid taking damage.
The fight is lackluster, but Mikey is more challenging than Genghis Frog. Also, the fight provides the perfect moment to reference a recurring trope in video games: Once you defeat Mikey, Donnie says he wishes he was half as effective as a teammate as he was as a mini-boss.

Bebop & Rocksteady
Don’t Underestimate A Classic
This duo is the first boss fight in TMNT: Mutants Unleashed and is also one of the longest ones in the game. You’ll have to fight them separately before facing both of them in a third stage where dodging is key to survival.

The good thing is you can use Rocksteady’s charge to hit Bebop, which is a nice detail for a game with friendly fire. This boss fight will keep you on your toes but will become repetitive by the time both villains come at you.
5
Cammy
The Big Bad Says Hello
The big bad of TMNT: Mutants Unleashed fights the heroes in a half shell in her regular form, offering little to no challenge. However, she can summon other characters to make things tougher, and she’ll send you the strongest minions to try and take you down.
You’ve been fighting these enemies since the beginning of the game, so you shouldn’t have much trouble recognizing their attack patterns to end them swiftly. You’ll have to repeat the sequence of beating Cammy and her minions a couple of times, making it an interesting test of endurance and a pretty good boss fight.

Wingnut
Fight On The Silver Screen
The Wingnut boss fight will take you back to the 2D era of TMNT games, letting you fight on stage against the flying villain. You’ll have to jump a lot, so you better unlock aerial combos and attacks to finish the fight as soon as possible.
While the fight isn’t tough, you’ll need to time your jumps right to avoid getting hit. This fight is pretty unique in the game, as you won’t encounter similar segments in any other mission, and it might leave you asking for a Boss Rush mode.
3
Toby (True Ending Boss)
Betrayal!
If you thought the Coexisting Center initiative was too good to be true, you were right, and you’ll need to confront Toby about it all. He’ll come at you with a mech suit and a plethora of different attacks to take you down.

TMNT: Mutants Unleashed Has An Answer For The Worst Weapon Debate
Splinter clearly played favourites when giving the Turtles their iconic weapons.
The fight has two stages, but as long as you keep your distance, you should be able to defeat Toby for good. After everything you leveled up, Toby will really challenge you to show what you’re made of in one of the best boss fights in the game.
2
Leatherhead
Don’t Taunt The Alligator
After chasing Leatherhead for a couple of stages, you’ll finally face her in the most original boss battle in the entire game. This time, you won’t need to mash buttons to win. Instead, you’ll need to avoid Leatherhead in a stealth minigame to hit generators and stun her.
Leatherhead doesn’t have a health bar, and you’ll have to repeat the sequence a couple of times, even after a cutscene, to defeat her. It is kind of a letdown after chasing her for so long, but it’s still very fresh for a repetitive game.
1
Turbo Cammy
Is That Her Final Form?
The final boss fight in the main story features a heavily mutated Cammy ready to wreak havoc. Keeping your distance here is key, as mashing buttons will often prove futile against an overpowered Turbo Cammy.
Luckily for you, all the friends you made on your adventure will come to your aid, providing health regularly so you don’t lose the battle. It’s a breath of fresh air combined with interesting plot elements that build a nice finale for TMNT: Mutants Unleashed and thus, the best boss fight in the whole game.
