It’s finally here – after months of waiting and anticipation, Act IV (4) of Crownfall has arrived bringing with it a new event map to explore, the new hero, Kez, and even more. And as a bonus, Dota 2 players can enjoy it until January!
Landing in the evening of Oct. 7 (or early in the morning if you’re outside of the US), the latest chapter of Dota 2’s biggest ever event has a truly huge overworld map, with three entire quest paths, side quests, mini games, and the chance to defeat Queen Imperia and unlock those alternate styles for the Skywrath Mage and Vengeful Spirit Arcanas. Let’s go over everything in the update:
Everything included in Crownfall Act 4
Kez!
After Kez was revealed in September we finally have our hands on the new bird samurai whose helping wrench Skywrath from the hands of Queen Imperia. Kez has nine abilities and two fighting styles which can be switched between.
Huge New Crownfall Act 4 map
The main attraction of Crownfall is the map, and with Act IV we’re getting our largest one yet. This map has three main paths, one for Dragonus (Skywrath Mage), Shendelzare (Vengeful Spirit) and Kez. You can advance through the map by playing games of Dota 2 and earning tokens, as ever. There’s also some special tokens that need to be earned to complete the map (The Kez and Skywrath tokens).
Scree’Auk and Avilliva Towers, New Immortals
By buying the latest Skywrath Pathfinder Pack, you can get access to two new Scree’Auk and Avilliva tower skins, as well as the two bonus questlines to unlock immortals for Batrider and Bloodseeker
Other Rewards in Crownfall Act 4
The new Crownfall Act 4 Board promises mini games and bonus items, as well as the chance to unlock Crownfall treasures from the Crownfall Collector’s Cache and Crownfall Collector’s Cache II.
Additionally, you can now visit the Snake Charmer in Shen’s questline in Act IV to claim your limited edition Crownfall character stickers.
Extended Ending Date for Crownfall Act 4
After initially saying Crownfall would end in October, Valve is now extending the event until January 15, 2025. That means you have just over two months to enjoy the new content and unlock all the possible paths. But don’t delay, this is perhaps the biggest event to ever grace Dota 2, and getting the most out of it will be difficult!
