Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is one of the many games slated to kick off the new year with a bang. The immersive medieval RPG is highly-anticipated, and news confirming that developer Warhorse Studios will forego integrating Denuvo has been an exciting revelation. After rumors circulated suggesting that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 would feature the controversial anti-piracy solution, those claims have been proven untrue.
Digital Rights Management, or DRM, has been utilized by many game developers in recent years, intending to halt piracy of their games. Denuvo is one of the most popular of these DRMs, but many gamers claim that its use hinders in-game performance. During a Twitch broadcast, Warhorse Studios PR chief Tobias Stolz-Zwliling confirmed Denuvo will not be used in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. With the use of the anti-piracy system being a common point of controversy for game launches, Warhorse Studios avoiding this issue from the start is a strong decision.
