Bonus, Editions, And Release Date

PlayStation released Horizon Zero Dawn in 2017 and since then it has gone on to become one of the platform’s tentpole franchises. So big that it simply can’t be contained by PlayStation alone anymore. Okay, technically it’s not the size of Horizon that has led to its next game releasing across PS5 and Nintendo Switch, it’s got more to do with the fact that Aloy’s next adventure will be made entirely out of Lego.

Lego Horizon Adventures Won’t Be As Hard To Platinum As The Skywalker Saga

No need to collect ten billion studs for this platinum.

Lego Horizon Adventures was revealed over the summer and when it’s released on November 14, 2024, it will be available to play on PS5, Switch, and PC. Basically everything other than Xbox, maybe one day. Even though it will feature familiar characters and elements from Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, this game promises to be different from anything Horizon has offered up before. Aiming to appeal to existing fans and maybe give something Horizon-themed for kids to latch onto in the process, you’ve still got time to pre-order Lego Horizon Adventures, and everything you need to know and then do so can be found below.

Differences Between Lego Horizon Adventures Editions

Lego Horizon Adventure Aloy

There are two editions of Lego Horizon and exactly what’s included with the more expensive edition that you don’t get with the standard one is detailed here.

Standard Edition

Digital Deluxe Edition

Shield Weaver Outfit (Pre-Order Bonus)

Roller Coaster Customization

Banuk Armor Outfit

Shadow Stalwart Outfit

Ratchet Outfit

Rivet Outfit

Sackboy Outfit

Alloy Aloy Outfit

If you just want the base game, and since this is unknown territory for Horizon I imagine there will be a lot of you out there, then there’s the standard edition. You’ll still get a little something extra with that version of the game if you pick up a copy before release day though in the form of the Shield Weaver Outfit pre-order bonus.

If you want more alternate looks for Aloy, including some of the PlayStation mascot-themed ones that have been shown off in the trailers, then you’ll need the Digital Deluxe Edition. As the name of the more expensive version implies, it’s only available digitally. Even though I tend to go with physical copies of games if the option’s available, the chance to dress as Sackboy on a Switch game is very tempting.

LEGO Horizon Adventures gives Guerrilla Games’ Horizon post-apocalyptic universe a brick-themed makeover. While Aloy takes center stage, the game does not have to be a solo ride and supports co-op.

Buying Lego Horizon’s Additional Content Separately

If you do have your heart set on owning a physical copy of Lego Horizon Adventures but you also want to dress Aloy up as Ratchet and Rivet, there is an option to buy the digital deluxe content separately. The good news is it has been priced at $10 so buying it and the standard edition will cost the same as buying the digital deluxe edition. However, for now at least, the add-on is only available on Switch.

It seems unlikely that the ability to buy the additional outfits separately will be a Switch exclusive when its biggest selling point is costumes based on PlayStation-exclusive characters. It seems likely the pack will be available to buy through the PlayStation Store once the game has been released. Potentially a tactic by PlayStation to make more people commit to the digital deluxe edition during the pre-order period.

Lego Horizon Adventures will be released on PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on November 14, 2024.
