1 Titanfall 2
Coupled Its Fun Multiplayer With An Amazing Single-Player Campaign
- Released
- October 28, 2016
Titanfall brought some nice ideas to the table, but the lack of a single-player mode enraged many fans who didn’t feel that the multiplayer was meaty enough to hold up the game on its own. So, it was nice to see Respawn Entertainment learn from their mistakes and develop what is possibly one of the best sequels ever made.
The multiplayer mode was solid as ever, but what made Titanfall 2 such a joy to play through was its single-player mode, which was more emotional than players could’ve assumed. It’s a shame that this game didn’t receive the love and adoration it deserved, leading to low sales and EA’s pivot to other franchises instead.
2 Call Of Duty: Black Ops
Boasts One Of The Best Single-Player Modes In A Series Known For Its Multiplayer
- Released
- November 9, 2010
The Call of Duty games can be a bit of a coin toss, with some titles boasting amazing gameplay and narratives while others sit on their laurels instead of trying to innovate on the genre. Thankfully, not only did Black Ops embody the former statement but boasts one of the most shocking plot twists in gaming history.
Mason’s story is a joy to experience, with the interrogation scenes becoming rather iconic in their own right. This story, coupled with a solid multiplayer mode that included zombie-killing, ensured that fans could enjoy this title no matter what they were seeking out.

- Released
- September 14, 2021

The repetition can be grating to deal with after a point, but players will develop the skills needed to take out all their targets in a run long before the fatigue sets in.
It helps that Deathloop keeps things engaging with Julianna, an agent who can be controlled by other players who try to stop Colt from changing the timeline. This seamless integration of multiplayer gives players an excuse to invade other games and mess around with one’s run, which is a great example of integrating multiplayer elements in a single-player game.
