Planet Coaster 2: How To Build Pools

We love water parks!

In the second chapter of scenarios, you’ll get to play with Norse Mythology to create an exciting water park. We’ll walk you through all the objectives so you can claim more badges and create a thriving amusement park.

Bronze Objectives

When you first arrive in the park, your goal is to get some attractions up and running. Building two flat rides in the park is a good start, and there are two that are Viking themed. While you can pick any flat rides you’d like, these are good options!

Once you’ve placed and opened the flat rides, it’s time to work on the flumes that make up the Bifrost. You’ll start by working on the center three: green, blue, and yellow.

You have creative freedom when it comes to these flumes. All they need to do is reach the pool in the center of the plot, dropping guests into the water. There are only two requirements:

  • The blue flume must have a nausea rating of less than five.
  • The yellow flume must have a fear rating of at least five.

To keep the nausea rating low, keep the flume simple. Avoid sharp turns and loops that could agitate guests. For the yellow flume, you’ll want to give guests more of a thrill. You can use one of the special loops to up the fear factor for the flume.

After the flumes are built, test them out! As long as they’re safe to open, you’re good to go.

Silver Objectives

With the first section of the Bifrost complete, it’s time to expand the park. Open the park expansion menu and purchase a plot of land. While you can choose whichever you like, it’s a good idea to start with the Alfheim plot.

From there, you’ll need to complete the red and orange flumes. You have free rein, aside from the following requirements:

  • The red flume must have a special flume piece.
  • The orange flume must be at least 200 meters long.

Once the flumes are complete, it’s time to build a transport ride to help deliver guests back to the central area of the park. Whether you choose a cable car or single decker bus, make sure to have at least two stations to allow guests to transfer between locations.

Make sure that there’s enough power for each station!

You can place power generators, distributors, and solar panels to provide electricity.

After the ride is up and running, you’ll need to hire lifeguards for the park. At least 90 percent of the pools will need lifeguard coverage, including the pools in the other plot you haven’t purchased yet!

You may need to purchase the land before you can complete this objective.

Prioritizing the safety of your guests will award you with the silver badge!

Gold Objectives

With the gold objectives, you’ll be completing the last of the Bifrost flumes. The indigo and violet flumes are the only ones left, and they also have specific requirements before they are marked as complete.

  • The indigo flume must be at least 200 meters.
  • The violet flume must use a special flume piece.

Once both flumes are open, your next objective is to open two new coasters. You can build them yourself to create short and sweet coasters, or you can purchase the prebuilt ones to save time.

Make sure to test the rides for safety before you open them, and add additional power generators as needed to keep everything running smoothly.

Now your last objective to reach gold is to sit back and let the money roll in. You’ll need to exceed daily profits of $100,000, which will take a few in-game hours.

You can speed up this process by paying for advertisements to bring in more guests, increasing the prices in your shops, and providing more places of commerce for your guests.

Guests love to buy souvenirs if they’re have a great time!

After you’ve collected all the funds you need to exceed the daily limit, you’ll earn the gold badge for the scenario and enter the final stage of challenges.

Platinum Objectives

The last set of objectives is much harder to maintain, and doesn’t involve building more rides. Instead, you’ll be monitoring your guests and attractions to see how they all interact with each other.

First off, you’ll need to make sure that your pools have a cleanliness rating of at least 95 percent. This means maintaining the water pumps and filters and ensuring that your janitorial staff cleans up after messy guests. A clean park is a happy park!

Afterward, your focus shifts to your guests’ needs. Specifically, you’ll keep an eye on their hunger and thirst. Both need to be above 65 percent, which means you’ll need adequate coverage throughout the park.

Giving your guests additional options in their food and drinks, from burgers to milkshakes, will ensure that all of your guests’ dietary needs are met.

Once your guests are satisfied, all that’s left is to achieve a park rating of four and a half stars or higher. To increase your park rating, you’ll need a variety of rides, a good reputation, plenty of scenery, and prestigous attractions.

By meeting all these lofty goals, you’ll obtain the platinum badge. Congratulations on completing the scenario!
