No matter how much of a roller coaster master you might be in Planet Coaster 2, you’re no match for nature. The weather changes regularly, and it can greatly impact your guests’ experience in the park. Thankfully, there are a few ways you can mitigate the weather’s effect on your park, be in through sales or careful planning.

We’ll show you how to check the weather forecast so you can prepare ahead of time to show off your park for guests. We’ll also show you how to make the most of rainy days to earn a bit of extra cash if you’re up for it.
How To Check The Weather
When looking at the browser and toolbars, you can select the weather icon in the bottom right corner to receive the weather report. You’ll get an overview of what the weather looks like for the current day as well as the next.
You can also see what season it is! Seasons only last for a couple of days.
While you check the weather, you can’t influence it. You can only prepare for the rain to come, as it will impact what rides and attractions your guests are drawn towards. Not everyone wants to ride a roller coaster in a storm.
What To Do When It Rains
When it rains, there are a few things you can do to help your guests feel more comfortable. An absolute necessity is building multiple guest services facilities and body dryers.
Guest services sells umbrellas in a variety of colors and the body dryers are a quick (yet temporary) solution when guests get soaked.
Another thing you can do is build more rides indoors or provide cover throughout the park. Rides don’t need to be completely indoors, but you can use decor and custom frames to cover portions of the track and park paths.
The main goal when it rains is to keep your guests dry. If guests are left in the rain for too long, they’ll start to feel uncomfortable and grow miserable throughout the day.
If you’d rather not deal with the hassle, you can close your park for the day.
When it’s going to rain all day and guests will be wet, you can switch focus to building more pools and flumes! Not every guest will swim in the rain, but you can entice them by lowering prices and adding more pool extras to keep them busy.
