Should You Use Weeping Gemini in ZZZ?

Should You Use Weeping Gemini in ZZZ?

With so many Anomaly characters to choose from in Zenless Zone Zero, some players may be having trouble getting their teams up to snuff. If you’re lacking the W-Engines to give to your teams, you’ll have to make use of what you’ve got. Luckily, Weeping Gemini is readily available, and everyone can get at least one copy of it very easily.

Weeping Gemini is one of the free W-Engines that players can acquire through ZZZ’s gacha and the Box Galaxy Gadget store on Sixth Street. There are a few other Anomaly W-Engines available, so if you’re wondering how Weeping Gemini fares against them, here’s some insight on how good this thing is.

How Good is Weeping Gemini in ZZZ?

Weeping Gemini base stats in ZZZ

For a free-to-play 4-star W-Engine, Weeping Gemini is pretty good, though this mostly depends on who’s using it. This W-Engine works best when used by Agents who can quickly apply Attribute Anomalies against high-health enemies that are hard to stun. A level 60 Weeping Gemini’s base stats are:

Effect

When a team member inflicts an Attribute Anomaly on an enemy, the equipper’s Anomaly Proficiency increases by 30/34/38/42/46, stacking up to 4 times. Stacks are lost when an enemy recovers from Stun or is defeated. Each stack’s duration is calculated separately.

Since Weeping Gemini’s gives Anomaly Proficiency only when someone in the team inflicts an Attribute Anomaly in ZZZ, players will get the most out of this W-Engine by using it on Double Anomaly teams with Agents like Grace or Yanagi. Both can stack Shock Anomaly very rapidly without building a target’s Daze bar much, giving them the opportunity to reach Weeping Gemini’s max stacks. This is especially good on Yanagi since she can trigger Disorder without consuming Attribute Anomalies from a target.

Weeping Gemini is generally good, and even more so if you’re running a Double Anomaly team or if your support characters can build up Anomaly procs well. However, it will take some time before you can make full use of its passive effect, so expect your damage to be low at the beginning of fights. Once the team starts triggering Anomaly procs, then your damage will spike considerably until an enemy recovers from being stunned or is defeated.

Alternatives

Rainforest Gourmet W-Engine stats in ZZZ

The next best F2P Anomaly W-Engine alternative is Rainforest Gourmet, which grants ATK% stacks for every 10 Energy spent while in combat. It offers some unconditional, bonus Anomaly Proficiency too, making it a good, general-use option.

However, players will have to use their characters’ Energy in order to activate Rainforest Gourmet’s passive, and doing so isn’t always the optimal play. Weeping Gemini is slightly stronger than Rainforest Gourmet simply because the former relies on Anomaly procs, which will always trigger when using an Anomaly team.

Electro Lip Gloss W-Engine stats in ZZZ

Electro Lip Gloss is very good on all Anomaly characters. It gives its users an ATK% increase while making them deal more damage against Anomaly-affected enemies. This condition is much easier to achieve, and it can remain active throughout an entire fight as long as players can constantly inflict Anomaly effects. The only real downside is that this is a battle pass W-Engine, which means getting five copies of Electro Lip Gloss is both expensive and time-consuming.
