The PUBG Global Series (PGS) 6 is entering its Grand Finals stage after an intense 3-day group stage which saw 8 teams being eliminated. The tournament, taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, has a prize pool of $300,000 on the line. However, many of the teams are fighting for something even bigger – a slot in the PUBG Global Championship (PGC) 2024.

One of the main storylines emerging from this PGS is the shocking elimination of China’s Petrichor Gaming in the Group Stage itself. The team has had a consistent season so far, currently placed fifth in the combined PGS Points at 320 points. However, with their elimination from the PGS 6 now, their chances of making it to the PGC have reduced.
Nonetheless, the team will be watching the Grand Finals – hoping the teams placed 6th to 14th place don’t climb up the rankings a lot.

The unique format of the PGS Points System gives the winning team 300 points – if a team gets this, they are all but guaranteed a slot at the PGC. We anticipate the cutoff for qualification will be around or a little above 300 points only.
