  • The helpful new feature offers a convenient way to filter PS5 Pro Enhanced games, although its list is currently incomplete.
  • The new section is currently only available on consoles and is thus yet to make its way to the browser version of the PS Store and the PlayStation App.

The PlayStation Store has debuted a new section dedicated to PS5 Pro games. This helpful addition arrived just ahead of the PS5 Pro‘s release.

As the PS5 Pro’s release date approaches, tech experts test various unpatched games to measure the tangible improvements that the new hardware brings.

Ahead of this release, the Japanese gaming giant rolled out a new update for its digital storefront, introducing a new PS Store feature in the form of a dedicated PS5 Pro section. Users first started seeing this additional product category on Tuesday, November 5. However, the change so far appears to be limited to the console version of the storefront. The PS Store that can be accessed via a web browser doesn’t have a dedicated section for PS5 Pro games as of November 7, and neither does the PlayStation App for Android and iOS devices.

PS Store’s PS5 Pro Section Currently Lists 52 Games

Much like its name implies, this section serves as a convenient way to filter games with the PlayStation 5 Pro Enhanced label. There are currently 52 such titles listed on the PS Store, including EA Sports FC 25, Diablo 4, Hogwarts Legacy, and the newly released Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Baldur’s Gate 3 and Alan Wake 2 are also found in this section, together with the Demon’s Souls remake, The First Descendant, and dozens of other titles.

PS Store’s List of PS5 Pro Enhanced Games Is Currently Incomplete

However, the list is presently incomplete, as evidenced by the fact that it’s missing numerous games that have PS Store pages and the PS5 Pro Enhanced label. Those include Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Dynasty Warriors: Origins, and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. While all three of these are upcoming titles, some already available PS5 Pro Enhanced games are also missing from the newly launched category, including Fortnite and Sony’s own Ghost of Tsushima and Gran Turismo 7. Nearly 100 existing and upcoming games have already been confirmed to take advantage of Sony’s newest console, meaning the PS Store is currently only showing roughly half of them.

Given this state of affairs, it would appear that the PlayStation Store’s PS5 Pro section is being managed manually. It remains to be seen how often Sony will update this category, and how long it takes to bring it to mobile devices and browsers. As for console owners, the new PS Store section is already confirmed to be available in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
