Mirthwood: How To Fast Travel

Fast traveling is a crucial mechanic in a game with large maps like Mirthwood. It allows players to reach places without overly wasting their days, especially since players will start their new life in the far west of the land, with a lot of places to discover to the east.

However, while fast travel is an option in Mirthwood, there’s no hint about how to use it. All players will see is a signpost in front of their house, indicating that they can fast travel to other places, but the only available option at the start is their own farmland. Thankfully, it’s easy to unlock fast travel in Mirthwood. You simply need to find specific campsites in the assigned spots on the map.

To fast travel in Mirthwood, players must locate a campsite and interact with the nearby signpost; it’ll open a page with an option to teleport to the farm. Afterward, players can use both signposts to fast travel between the available points.

There are several fast travel spots in Mirthwood. For example, players can find Camp in the Marsh south of the farm, in the Murkwater Marsh. You can also unlock the Old Forest Campsite by heading east to The Old Forest.

When players first arrive in the Free Lands, they will soon have access to the map, but it looks mostly empty with only trees, water, and mountains all around. However, once players explore and find notable landmarks on the map, the discovery will be noted on the map, making it a necessity to walk around to ensure a proper log on the map.

For example, campsites where players can fast travel to in Mirthwood won’t show up on the map until they’re found. On the map, it takes the shape of a simple camp with a campfire right above it. Other locations like ruins, towns, abandoned buildings, and so on will also be logged after discovery, but not before.

Exploring Mirthwood

Mirthwood has a large map that offers plenty of adventure and exploration. Players can choose who they want to be in the Free Lands; they can be a cozy farmer who enjoys the life of growing crops, focus more on raising livestock, or abandon the farm entirely. Those who choose to focus less on home can go on adventures, discovering abandoned caves and buildings, and fighting eerie enemies in remote areas.

Adventurers must ensure they’re prepared to face the dangers of the wild, as humans aren’t the only hostilities they’ll meet on their journey. Players will have to battle animals such as rats, wolves, boars, and bears, and even monsters like werewolves.
