The life of a shopkeeper is a calm one in Trash Goblin. You’ll spend your days holding down the proverbial fort, fulfilling customer requests, and chiseling the dirt and grime off of trinkets to sell. Most requests come from random people, but every so often you’ll come across a named character who’ll be a repeat customer.
One of the first named characters you’ll meet is Hullifer XVII, a humble mushroom person who enjoys more scholarly pursuits. Any good scholar needs a magnifying glass for reading any tiny text and that includes Hullifer XVII, so it’s time for you to get chiseling.
As Trash Goblin is currently in Early Access on Steam, information within is subject to change, and we will update it in the future as needed.
How To Find Magnifying Glass Pieces
Hullifer XVII arrives on the fourth day, and he’ll ask if you have a Magnifying Glass available for him to purchase. Once you accept this request, you’ll now be able to find two new trinkets: a Magnifying Glass and a Magnifying Glass Lens.
You don’t have to worry about Hullifer XVII leaving after a day, as he’ll stick around for as long as it takes for you to fulfill his request.
Go back to the workshop, and start using the Chisel to uncover some new trinkets until you get either the Magnifying Glass or the Lens, and it will generally take around two to four trinket bags for you to find one of them.
Once you find either of them, go ahead and clean it off, then get back to cleaning off new trinkets. You’ll be guaranteed to find the remaining piece in the next two to four trinket bags.
If you start running out of Stash space, you can store excess trinkets on your workbench, or the Basic Shelves, if you’re unlocked store customization.
After you get both, use the Sponge to clean them up, and then use the Upcycler that Redoir gave you on the Magnifying Glass. You’ll only have one attachment option for it at first, and that’s the Magnifying Lens.
Slot it inside and finish the upcycling, then bring it back to Hullifer XVII, and they’ll pay you a nice sum of Gold for it.
