The Spy Among Us

The Epic Games Store is giving away Deceive Inc., an online multiplayer game that blends social deduction, ’70s spy thrillers, and first-person shooting. The mission is simple: insert, infiltrate, and extract. 10 spies must smoothly James Bond their way into a high-end event, be it a gala or an auction, and slip in with the crowd, keeping a low profile. While staying away from guards and other spies, they must gradually discover information regarding the location of a vault, a process that is easier said than done when any proactive movement could give them away. Once the necessary intelligence is acquired, the vault will open, setting off a sprint to see which secret agent acquires the package first. If they beat the other spies to the prize, the only thing left is to make a stylish escape or die trying.

Deceive Inc. has a fun concept for a multiplayer experience, and it is backed by decent gameplay, a sense of humor, and four distinct maps. Like with most of these types of projects, runs vary greatly depending on the participants, especially since killing the other spies is a valid alternative to achieving victory. While not the biggest PvP game on the market, Deceive Inc. is worth a try for those looking for something a touch different.

While Konami has not spent too much time focusing on Castlevania in recent years, these types of releases generally offer a fantastic way to experience a few all-time classics that might have otherwise faded into the background.
