Com2uS is developing a new idle RPG based on SHIFTUP’s Destiny Child. The game will be developed by Tiki Taka Studio, a subsidiary of Com2uS, while Com2uS will handle the game’s global publishing and service.
Destiny Child is finally returning but as an idle RPG
Destiny Child was a turn-based RPG featuring real-time battles and adorable Live 2D characters that you could recruit. You could also join other players from all over the world to defeat the World Boss. Unfortunately, the game ended its service on September 21 of last year, after nearly seven years of operation.
According to Com2uS’s announcement, they have officially signed an agreement with SHIFTUP to develop and provide global service for an idle RPG game based on SHIFTUP’s IP Destiny Child. As I already mentioned, Tiki Taka Studio will develop the game and Com2uS will manage the global distribution. Tiki Taka Studio also developed the popular casual RPG, Arcana Tactics.
Com2uS has promised to provide an immersive RPG, with one Com2uS official stating, “Through collaboration with Shift Up and Tiki Taka Studio, we plan to create an immersive idle RPG that maximizes the emotion of the IP while still being comfortable to enjoy.”Additionally, the company plans to release several new games starting this year and will continue to expand its portfolio of self-published and popular game titles next year.
