Bambu Lab Black Friday Deals Live Till December 3

Bambu Lab is currently running its Black Friday sale that brings sitewide discounts on 3D printers, filaments, and accessories. The sale is live till December 3. There are six FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printers to choose from: Bambu Lab A1 and A1 mini, Bambu Lab X1C and X1E, and the Bambu Lab P1P and P1S.

The A1 series is targeted towards beginners and casual 3D printers, while the X1C, X1E, P1P, and P1S are for more hardcore users. The X1C, X1E and P1S have enclosures, while the A1 series and the P1P are open-frame 3D printers. This allows the X1C/X1E and the P1S to support a wider range of filaments. However, they all offer features like full-auto calibration, quick swap nozzle, an integrated camera, and support for multicolor printing.

The Bambu Lab A1 series supports the AMS (Automatic Material System) Lite whereas the other printers support the enclosed AMS which keeps the filaments dry.

Bambu Lab A1 – Best for Beginners

Bambu Lab A1 3D printer

Starting with the A1, it is a 3D printer designed for beginners. Those looking to get into 3D printing and want something that just works great out of the box with minimal tweaking should consider the Bambu Lab A1. It is a fast 3D printer capable of reaching speeds of up to 500mm/s, which is not the fastest on the market but is more than enough for personal use. The printer has a more standard sized print bed, coming in at 256x256x256mm.

It should be noted that the Bambu Lab A1 has been recalled once as the company identified an issue with the heatbed cable getting bent or damaged, leading to potential electric shock and fire hazards. The issue was addressed and fixed with an upgraded A1 that now comes with a reinforced heatbed cable.

Bambu Lab A1 mini – Compact and Budget-friendly

As the name suggests, the A1 mini is essentially a smaller A1 with only a few limitations. The A1 mini has a build area of 180x180x180mm but is just as fast. It does not support some of the different build plates that Bambu Lab offers, like the Bambu Dual-Texture PEI Plate, the Bambu High Temperature Plate (Smooth PEI), and the Bambu Cool Plate.

Bambu Lab X1C – Flagship 3D Printers

The Bambu Lab X1C is the best of what the company offers. It is the most advanced Bambu Lab 3D printer, boasting features like 7μm lidar resolution, up to 16 multicolor printing, AI inspected first layer, failure detection, and faster acceleration than the A1 series. The AMS can be fixed on top of the X1C for a consolidated multicolor 3D printing solution. They have the same build area as the A1.

X1C – $999 ($200 off) X1C AMS Combo – $1199 ($250 off)

Bambu Lab P1S and P1P – Mid-range Workhorse

The P1P is an open-frame 3D printer, while the P1S comes with an enclosure. This is the main difference between the two, but the P1P allows for Modplates to be printed and used as an enclosure. They are both compatible with the AMS and offer performance at par with the X1 series. The build volume is the same as well.

P1S – $549 ($150 off) P1S AMS Combo – $749 ($200 off)P1P – $449 ($250 off)

3D Printer Filament Options Available on Amazon

No matter the printer, filament brands are cross compatible, and you can buy spools from brands like Elegoo, Sunlu, Overture, Creality, Polymaker, or straight from Bambu Lab. Depending on the type of filament, you can find a huge assortment of colors and textures. There are even glow-in-the-dark filaments and filaments infused with steel. This Overture 1kg spool of PLA comes in a wide range of colors and is quite cheap as well. For a stronger PLA mix, this Protopasta Stainless Steel Filled PLA 500 gram spool is a great place to start experimenting.
