What are the Zenless Zone Zero events? HoYoverse’s latest live service gacha game has plenty of content to keep you occupied, whether that’s charging through the twists and turns of the main storyline or picking up side commissions. If you’re looking for a change of pace that can net you additional rewards like Master Tapes, Boopons, and Polychrome, then look no further than the latest events.

Just like Zenless Zone Zero banners, the current ZZZ events are only available for a limited time, so remember to complete them before they end. HoYoverse often gives us notice about upcoming events ahead of time via Zenless Zone Zero livestreams and social media, so check back regularly to find out what’s coming up in the ZZZ next update. Virtual Battlefield Mayhem

  • Event duration: Monday, November 11 to Monday, November 25, 2024

Virtual Battlefield Mayhem is a VR combat event available at the HIA. Unlike other combat modes, Virtual Battlefield Mayhem has Proxies face off against powerful foes with a solo agent. Instead, you must harness unique buffs and Bangboo effects to secure victory. This is a great event to get to grips with individual agents outside of team rotations, and it also includes trials of upcoming characters.

“En-Nah” Assistant Program

  • Event duration: Saturday, November 16 to Monday, December 2, 2024

“En-Nah” Assistant Program is a photo event with a twist. Our favorite Bangboo coach has a new cohort of athletes to train, and it needs your help to take some commemorative snaps as proof that they’re sticking to its strict training regimen. Aside from ensuring New Eridu’s Bangboo stay fit and healthy, the “En-Nah” Assistant Program also rewards helpful photographers with Polychrome, skill enhancement chips, and photo wall decorations for your bedroom.

Data Bounty – Combat Simulation

  • Event duration: Friday, November 22 to Wednesday, November 27, 2024

Data Bounty – Combat Simulation lets you obtain double rewards from the VR Device Challenge of the same name. This limited-time event is the perfect opportunity to pick up a bundle of level-up materials for skills, agent promotion, and W-Engine modification for units you plan to build in the latest update.

“En-Nah” Into Your Lap

  • Event duration: Wednesday, November 27 to Tuesday, December 17, 2024

“En-Nah” Into Your Lap is a daily check-in event to claim ten free Boopons, the premium currency for the Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo banner. The sign-in rewards span a week’s worth of check-ins, with two Boopons available to claim on day three and three Boopons on day seven. Thankfully, you won’t miss out if you forget to check in – just be sure to claim them all before the event wraps up.

Help Kai

  • Event duration: Monday, December 2 to Monday, December 16, 2024

Help Kai is a HIA Affairs event opposite the video store on Sixth Street. Like Mr. Hello, Kai is an investigative associate in dire need of help. This well-dressed Bangboo has a lengthy list of tasks for Proxies to complete. Kai’s requests include leveling drive discs, building agent trust, and clearing other event modes, allowing you to scoop up additional rewards for completing those little tasks you might’ve been putting off.

When Sandwiches Come A Knockin’

  • Event duration: Wednesday, December 4 to Monday, December 16, 2024

When Sandwiches Come A Knockin’ is a casual event similar to 141 Friendship Fair. The Breaded Belief pop-up food truck has rolled into Lumina Square, and its Bangboo vendor needs help to manage the influx of customers. Serve customers sandwiches, dumplings, and other tasty snacks to redeem Polychrome and level-up materials, and become the VVVIP customer at this beloved eaterie.

Advanced Bounty – Routine Cleanup

  • Event duration: Wednesday, December 11 to Monday, December 16, 2024

Advanced Bounty – Routine Cleanup lets you obtain double rewards from the challenge of the same name. This gives you more chance to obtain S-Rank drive discs without visiting Elfy at Bardic Needle, with supplementary Plating Agents and Dennies.

The Mystery of Arpeggio Fault

  • Event duration: Wednesday, November 6, 2024 to Tuesday, December 17, 2024

The Mystery of Arpeggio Fault is an HDD exploration event split into five chapters. Each chapter includes a series of randomly generated areas for Proxies to explore exclusively via the HDD board. Collect gear coins, team up with agents, and gradually increase your combat power to defeat enemies in board-based combat. The Mystery of Arpeggio Fault has plenty of Polychrome up for grabs, but the star reward is Knightboo, an A-Rank Bangboo exclusive to this event.

All-New Program

  • Event duration: Wednesday, November 6, 2024 to Tuesday, December 17, 2024

All-New Program is a daily check-in event that automatically bestows free Encrypted Master Tapes every time you log in. You can expect to receive nine Encrypted Master Tapes in total: one for the first six days you log in, and a further three on the seventh and final day. This check-in event has previously appeared as the New City Visitor’s Passport.

The Final Callback

  • Event duration: Permanent

The Final Callback is a continuous character trial event that gives you the opportunity to go hands-on with characters in the latest event banners before you commit to pulling them. These special audition stages also provide a basic rundown of that character’s kit, so you can ascertain whether they suit your preferred playstyle and team comp. You can expect to claim Polychrome and a range of level-up materials relevant to that character after completing each character trial.

Investigator Training Course

  • Event duration: Permanent

Investigator Training Course gives you a taste of what it’s like to be a Hollow Investigator. You’ll pick up the practical skills of Hollow exploration from special training courses that range from tactics, theory, and combat support. Each course comes with its own set of modifiers and the opportunity to trial characters you don’t yet own. What’s more, you can also assign characters to attend courses in your stead, so you can earn rewards while getting on with activities elsewhere.

Road to Proxy Greatness

  • Event Duration: Permanent

Road to Proxy Greatness is a permanent level-up event that rewards players with Zenless Zone Zero Polychrome, Master Tapes, and Boopons up to Inter-Knot Level 30. This is the perfect ZZZ event for picking up free Zenless Zone Zero banner pulls, so don’t forget to claim your rewards one you hit those level milestones.

Rookie on the Road

  • Event duration: Permanent

Rookie on the Road is an event that grants automatic rewards to new players as they progress through the early content in the anime game. These rewards are largely tied to the Proxy Primer, located under the Inter-Knot tab in the main menu, which also bestows rewards for milestone achievements in the early game.

The Rookie on the Road event objectives and rewards are:

  • Complete Prologue story mission: Demerara Battery Mark II (A-Rank W-Engine)
  • Complete Proxy Primer Trial No. 03: Starlight Engine (A-Rank W-Engine)
  • Unlock the Remodeling Shop: Bagboo (A-Rank Bangboo)
  • Complete Proxy Primer Trial No. 05: Slice of Time (A-Rank W-Engine)
  • Complete Chapter 2 story mission: Ben (A-Rank Agent)

Simulated Battle Trial

  • Event duration: Permanent

Simulated Battle Trial is a permanent event mode set in a virtual tower. A combat trial awaits on each floor, and Proxies must defeat all enemies within the time limit to proceed. Each trial’s difficulty increases as you climb, and agents won’t be able to rest and recover during a run; instead, you must unlock and swap between agents as you progress, making team flexibility essential to clear this combat mode.

Eridu Frontier

  • Event duration: Permanent

This permanent event serves as an incentive to participate in the Shiyu Defense endgame mode. The earliest you can tackle this event is the Chapter 2 story intermission, which introduces Shiyu Defense. Once you reach the Third Frontier in Stable Node, you can redeem Soukaku (A-Rank, Ice/Support) for free.

Hollow Zero

  • Event duration: Permanent

Hollow Zero is Zenless Zone Zero’s answer to a roguelike game mode. You begin by choosing an agent to lead your expedition, along with two backup agents that you can call on as you progress. Hollow Zero spans four floors in total, culminating in a final boss, though you’ll have to carefully manage your pressure and corruption gauges to reach that point. If your run is unsuccessful, don’t worry – the Etheric Matter samples you’ve collected along the way can be exchanged for Master Tapes, Film, and upgrade materials once you emerge from the depths.

Overlord’s Feast

  • Event duration: Thursday, September 26 to Friday, November 4, 2024

Overlord’s Feast puts Proxies in charge of renovating and running a roadside diner in Blazewood. Between taking orders and cooking up a storm, you’ll learn more the Outer Ring and the Sons of Calydon from the customers that frequent your diner. Your entrepreneurial spirit will be rewarded with A-Rank character Lucy (Fire, Support) for free. Before you can create this banquet hall, you must first complete the “Leisurely Lull: Unexpected new Customer” story commission after chapter four.

141 Friendship Fair

141 Friendship Fair is a casual event that brings the community together. Swing by Sjal’s market stall near the 141 Convenience Store to complete daily tasks and recruit store owners to her cause. Your reward is a successful Sixth Street market fair, along with Polychrome, Boopons, and more.

Vicious Dogs Within

Vicious Dogs Within is a limited-time event set in the Godfinger arcade. Take on your fellow Proxies in rounds of Soul Hounds III – Group Hunt to receive Doggy Vouchers that you can exchange to get Polychrome, Boopons, and a range of level-up materials for your characters, W-Engines, and Bangboo.

Roaming the Ether

Roaming the Ether is a HDD event that takes place in an old-school computer terminal salvaged from Hollow Zero. Complete puzzles and minigames to pick up rewards and recover important data for the Cunning Hares.

Ridu For You

Ridu For You is a puzzle event that takes place at Howl’s Newsstand. Subscribe to The Ridu Tour magazine and complete silhouette puzzles  to reveal the untold stories of New Eridu. Polychrome and namecards are also up for grabs, along with level-up materials for your characters and weapons.

Don’t Walk Alone

Don’t Walk Alone is a limited-time event set in the Godfinger arcade. Clear stages of Bizarre Brigade! and progress through event missions starring Billy and Asha to receive Polychromes, Boopons, and level-up rewards.

Coffee Sorcery: Tuning

Coffee Sorcery: Tuning offers double drops for Drive Discs and Plating Agents depending on the coffee you order from Tin Master at Coff Cafe. You can obtain bonus Drive Disc rewards after drinking Ginseng Americano and clearing any stage in Routine Cleanup. Alternatively, you can obtain bonus Plating Agent rewards after drinking Mint Espresso and clearing the relevant combat simulation stages. You can only drink one coffee per day, so choose your coffee order wisely and don’t forget to complete the corresponding activities to reap your caffeinated rewards.

Scene One, Shot One!

Scene One, Shot One is a photography event that has you join forces with director Connie to capture the everyday lives of New Eridu’s populace. Complete photo commissions by following all of Connie’s directions, from the subject and setting to the correct camera filters. By the end of this ZZZ event, you should have an album full of striking photos, al0ng with a bounty of Polychrome and Boopons to spend.

Camellia Golden Week

Camellia Golden Week, otherwise known as New Eridu’s “Shop Till You Drop” festival, sends you into the depths of Hollow C41 to complete a series of objectives. This holiday event includes a number of commissions, each with supply boxes, upgrade materials, and banner currency. If you’re in need of an item restock, Camellia Golden Week will leave your inventory fit to burst.

Immersive Tactical Drill

Immersive Tactical Drill is a limited-time VR challenge at the HIA Career Club, and completing it rewards free Polychrome, Tuning Calibrators alongside a plethora of upgrades for your agents, weapons, and bangboo. You must complete Interlude Intermission in chapter two to participate in Immersive Tactical Drill.

Daily Life of a PubSec Officer

Daily Life of a PubSec Officer lets you experience the humdrum operations of New Eridu Public Security. Instead of hopping into Hollows and pursuing criminal gangs, you must serve New Eridu’s citizens by addressing complaints, processing applications, and recording incidents. You’ll be compensated for your voluntary work experience with Polychrome, level-up materials, and exclusive items.

Tin Master is ready to serve in Coffee Sorcery: Combat Simulation, one of the ZZZ events.

Coffee Sorcery: Combat Simulation

Coffee Sorcery: Combat Simulation lets you earn double rewards in the VR challenge of the same name. The reward bonus varies depending on the coffee you order from Tin Master at Coff Cafe. Requyest a cilantro latte for tactical chips, a lava latte for certification seals, or avocado coffee au lait for dennies. However, you can only order a single cup of coffee a day, so choose wisely to get additional drops for everything you need before the event ends.

First-Class Customer Service

First-Class Customer Service introduces a free after-sales service to the Random Play video store. Complete a series of minigames to repair and retune the faulty video players provided by your loyal customers and receive high-value rewards as payment for your services.

141 Exclusive Bazaar

141 Exclusive Bazaar is a limited-time event that sees you visit Sjal’s Stall in Sixth Street to exchange promotion materials earned from the HIA Club activities. In return you’ll get Polychrome, level-up materials for your characters, W-Engines, and Bangboo. Rewards must be claimed across seven separate days during the event, with a bonus if you turn in at least five requests.

Boisterous Premiere

This straightforward event gives early players the chance to claim 30 Polychrome after watching the official release teaser trailer. Simply click the ‘View Now’ button on the bottom right of the event card to unlock your rewards.

Cunning Generosity

Cunning Generosity is a gift event that rewards players for logging into the anime game at launch with a bundle of Master Tapes so you can make your first ten-pull on the standard banner.

Sixth Street Giveaway

Sixth Street Giveaway is a daily check-in event to claim ten free Encrypted Master Tapes, the premium currency for the event banner. Like the Eh-Nah Into Your Lap check-in, this event lasts seven log-ins. There is at least one Encrypted Master Tape to claim daily, with two on day three and three on day seven.

Watch Your Step

Watch Your Step is a commission event that introduces the Icedrift Hollow, an unstable area full of Ethereals and fissures that can collapse, taking you deeper into the Hollow. Clear easy commissions posted by the Hollow Investigative Association to unlock hard commissions and obtain Polychromes, Hamster Cage Passes, and more. You must reach Inter-Knot level 30 and the Chapter 2 interlude before this event becomes available.

Friendship Supervision

Friendship Supervision is the first story event in Zenless Zone Zero, and it puts New Eridu’s beloved Bangboo at its centre. Embark on a quest with Eous and Amillion to track down the mythical Golden Bangboo via a series of story missions and Hollow commissions. Your rewards for assisting the Bangboo in their hunt include Polychrome, Boopons, and a Luckyboo to call your very own.

Masterful Masterpiece

Masterful Masterpiece is an event exclusive to Coff Cafe and Waterfall Soup. All Ether-based coffee and noodles are free for the duration, making this the ideal ZZZ event for players who want to build Zhu Yuan and Nicole for their team. The Pepper Latte (Mild), Black Bowl: Smoked BBQ Noodles, and White Bowl: Fried BBQ Noodles are all available to order, making this an ideal opportunity to farm Ether Tactical Chips in Combat Simulation. Ether-type Resonia will also appear in Hollow Zero following the event so you can make the most of the Ether buff bestowed by General Chop in battle.

Don’t Get Greedy

Don’t Get Greedy is a limited-time event set in the Godfinger arcade. Face off against fellow Proxies in Snake Duel – Clash to receive Snaky Vouchers that you can exchange for Polychrome, Boopons, and level-up rewards for your characters, W-Engines, and Bangboo.

Mr. Hello’s Savior

Mr. Hello’s Savior is – you! This monocled and mustached Bangboo is located directly opposite the video store on Sixth Street, and he needs your help. Once you reach level 15, complete the missions allotted to receive Zenless Zone Zero Film and HIA Commemorative Coins. You can then exchange the latter for character skill level-up materials, Bangboo level-up materials, and currency.

Coffee Sorcery: Rally Commission

You know what they say – a coffee a day, erm, unlocks double rewards for Rally Commissions. That’s how it goes, right? Coffee consumption resets at 4am local time every day, and the double rewards applies to up to two Rally Commissions for each day of the event. To participate in the Coffee Sorcery event, you must first complete Chapter 001 and the Lost Coffee Beans commissions to unlock Rally Commissions and access the Coff Cafe.

Stock Up

Stock Up is a pre-release web event to earn a random selection of daily bonus items around Zenless Zone Zero’s launch. Simply log in and flip the nine cards on the board; match three of an item to receive it. You get at least two card flip attempts per day, though you can also complete optional daily missions to earn more chances. Remember to add the items you’ve obtained to your inventory, then hit the ‘Claim Rewards’ button to transfer them to your in-game mailbox.
