The Zenless Zone Zero 1.3 update is here, and that means long-awaited lightning rod Tuskishiro Yanagi is finally playable in the stylish anime gacha game. Whether you’ve been eagerly awaiting her, or are looking to save up for future characters after burning through all your hard-earned pulls in the hunt for Caesar and Burnice, you’ll want to jump back in now. You can get free ZZZ Polychrome and Master Tapes in a number of ways, including login bonuses, maintenance compensation, and new events, giving you the best chance to build your dream Zenless team.
The arrival of the latest Zenless Zone Zero update is always a big reason to return to 2024’s best gacha game, and ZZZ 1.3 is no different. While I certainly got lucky in my hunt for Burnice last patch, my in-game pockets are still feeling a little light, and with the new Zenless Zone Zero banners offering quite the lineup for the coming months any chance to stock up on free Polychrome is very welcome.
Even if you aren’t on the hunt for Yanagi or looking to round out the Sons of Calydon gang with Lighter’s arrival later in the patch, it’s always good to start saving for the next character you’ve got eyes on. We already know that both Miyabi and Harumasa are set to debut in 1.4, so start squeezing out every chance to grab Zenless Zone Zero Polychrome.
To start with, you can claim 600 Polychrome just by logging in any time between now and Friday December 6. This is compensation for the server downtime and other issues, and as long as you were Inter-Knot level four or higher before the update you’ll get these rewards in your mail. That’s just the start, however – the All-New Program returns, meaning you can claim a total of ten Master Tapes as login rewards for playing on seven days during the next 40.
Beyond that, a whole wealth of new Zenless Zone Zero events have already begun in 1.3, with more on the way. Yanagi’s Moonlight Traces includes a total of 260 Polychrome alongside Dennies and upgrade materials. A further 20 Polychrome and some basic resources can be snagged by taking part in The Final Callback, which gives you a test run of the newcomer’s skill set.
Then, there’s another limited-time event, The Mystery of Arpeggio Fault. Explore the five fault areas and you’ll get your hands on the adorable Knightboo, the latest addition to the roster of ZZZ Bangboo. On top of that comes an impressive 550 Polychrome, some upgrade materials, and a welcome helping of Dennies.
That’s a pretty impressive haul, so whatever you plan to do with those extra resources, be sure to pick them up while they’re still available. As someone who missed out on Ellen Joe when the game launched, Miyabi is at the top of my priority list, but Yanagi is certainly looking like a very strong option for many – and it’s nice for Soukaku to finally have a teammate.
