Chicken Hat Overview
The Chicken Hat item is more for costume purposes than it is armor. There is actual armor in the game with high defense and then there are cosmetic-based clothing items. This hat is a rare item. The higher the rarity of an item, the more it will sell for.
Earning money at the start of the game is difficult. Selling the Chicken Hat is a good idea if you would rather not wear something with only one defense.

Where To Find The Chicken Hat
You can find the Chicken Hat early on in the game. All you have to do is head to Northdell Farm.
You don’t have to have any previous quests completed. You don’t even need to have visited the nearby town yet.
Northdell Farm is east of your farm. Follow the natural path east and then take the first south path you see. From Brightoak, you will want to head up the north path near the end of town. This will lead you right into Northdell Farm.
In the image above, the Chicken Hat location is labeled as an orange star on the map.
There is a lighthouse or silo at the corner of the path. A crate can be looted next to a tree next to the well in front of the building. Inside is the Chicken Hat.
Northdell Farms is where you will purchase most of your farming supplies such as seeds and animal care. There is a market stall south of the Chicken Hat location.
