March 7th has been available in Honkai: Star Rail from the beginning, joining your party during the tutorial. During the second Xianzhou Luofu storyline following your visit to Penacony, she can gain another Path and element, becoming Imaginary March 7th as part of the Saga of Primaveral Blade event. This new incarnation of the character can elevate almost any team she’s a part of.

Honkai: Star Rail – Best Team Compositions For Yunli
If you’re looking for some team members to put alongside Yunli and increase her value in combat, we’ve got you covered!
Imaginary March 7th does her best work in teams with other follow-up attack specialists, and thankfully, there is no shortage of compositions where she can shine, some filled with 5-stars and others much more free-to-play friendly.
The Best Imaginary March 7th Team: Premium Follow-Up Attack
Character |
Role |
---|---|
Imaginary March 7th |
Sub-DPS/Buffer |
Feixiao |
Main DPS |
Aventurine |
Shield/Sustain |
Robin |
Support/Buffer |
This team composition sees Imaginary March 7th replace Topaz as the follow-up attack enabler, and she does a commendable job standing in for a limited 5-star character. One of the major benefits of using this team is how automatic everything is, even with auto-battle turned off. The basic flow of combat goes something like this:
- Use March 7th’s Skill on Feixiao, then her Ultimate to enhance her Basic Attack.
- Use Feixiao’s Skill to activate her first follow-up, which will chain into March 7th’s follow-up, then back to Feixiao’s. This process grants three stacks to Feixiao’s Ultimate gauge, March 7th’s enhanced basic, and Aventurine’s follow-up.
- Use Robin’s Skill to increase party damage, and her Ultimate to increase follow-up attack damage specifically.
- Use Aventurine’s Skill and Ultimate as necessary to keep the team shielded in addition to his follow-ups.
The choice of whether to use Feixiao’s Ultimate immediately at six stacks or wait to build a few more will depend on the situation, as will choosing between Aventurine’s Skill or Basic. Imaginary March 7th should focus on Basic attacks only once she uses her Skill on Feixiao, as the Skill’s effects don’t swap targets until you prompt them to.
Give March 7th enough Energy Regeneration so that she can use her Ultimate before she reaches seven stacks, or once every two cycles. Doing so ensures she always uses the full power of her enhanced Basic. It’s not the end of the world if she misses once or twice, but your overall damage output will suffer.
If you have Lingsha but not Aventurine, she works as a suitable substitute. Her increased Break efficiency works well with Feixiao’s damage bonuses against Weakness Broken targets, and adds Fire damage to the team, as well.
Yunli Follow-Up Team
Character |
Role |
---|---|
Imaginary March 7th |
Sub-DPS/Buffer |
Yunli |
Main DPS |
Huo Huo |
Healer/Buffer |
Robin |
Support/Buffer |
In this team composition, you’ll rely on Yunli’s counter-attack abilities and Huo Huo’s Ultimate, which grants Energy to the rest of the team, to keep Yunli in her Ultimate counter-state as often as possible. March 7th will provide the same bonuses as in any other similar composition: damage bonuses and supplementary damage of her own.
The rotation can look something like this:
- Use Imaginary March 7th’s Skill on Yunli, providing stacks for March’s ability and enhancing Yunli’s.
- Use Yunli’s Skill to enter her counter state. Use her Ultimate when available for additional damage potential.
- Use Robin’s Skill to enhance the party’s damage. Time her Ultimate use right before the enemy is up on the turn order to give your whole team a free set of turns.
- Use Huo Huo to provide two turns of healing to the team, and her Ultimate as available to grant 15 Energy to the rest of the team.
Use Huo Huo’s Ultimate as an interrupt to give Yunli her own Ultimate, either as an emergency or to optimize your damage.
You’ll ideally have Yunli’s counter state active permanently, and you should use this composition primarily against Physical-weak enemies, as both Yunli and Robin can provide Physical damage, as will March while she’s buffing Yunli. The young swordmaster’s damage is high enough that she fares well against more resilient enemies, especially if she’s well-built.
Free-To-Play Friendly Team
Character |
Role |
---|---|
Imaginary March 7th |
Sub-DPS/Buffer |
Moze |
Main DPS |
Gallagher |
Healer/Breaker |
Tingyun |
Support/Buffer |
The Honkai: Star Rail roster might not have a huge number of free follow-up attack units, but choosing to use Moze as your main DPS with three other Skill Point-positive teammates allows him to keep the damage coming at a rapid clip.
Imaginary March 7th is here to do as she always does, with Tingyun providing Moze with a steady supply of damage bonuses and Ultimate energy to power his kit. Gallagher is the best 4-star healer in the game, bar none, giving you easy access to a top-tier sustain that rivals some 5-star choices.
The rotation for this team composition can look like this:
- Use Imaginary March 7th’s Skill on Moze, and her Ultimate to enhance her Basic.
- Use Tingyun’s Skill and Ultimate on Moze to boost his damage and give him Ultimate Energy.
- Use Moze’s Skill to mark an enemy with Prey and start building follow-up attack stacks. Use his Ultimate for additional damage and follow-up attacks.
- Use Gallagher’s Skill to heal and cleanse debuffs as necessary, and his Ultimate for emergency healing and Fire damage.
You can trade Tingyun for whichever other top-tier Support you have access to, with Bronya or Sparkle being solid choices.
This composition is a more traditional hypercarry setup, with Imaginary March 7th and the rest of the party present to improve Moze’s performance. Other March 7th teams are a bit more synergistic, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be effective with something a bit more focused.
