Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s Future May Lie In Its Past
Adding new characters may seem better for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League on paper, but Rocksteady could explore the core roster too.
Now that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Season 3, Episode 6: Scoundrels is rolling out across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S consoles, players face a new Mayhem Mission as they journey through Elseworld trying to stop Brainiac. Season 3 of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League introduced Lawless as a new playable character, and now the squad can explore new locations in Gotham City. The Batcave, Chinatown, and the Ace Chemicals Factory are all available, with Ace Chemicals being made into a floating island that spews toxic waste into a void. To assist players in taking on these new challenges, they will find that Scarecrow and Two-Face-themed weapons have made a return as 4th-tier Infamy Gear.
Scarecrow’s Endless Torment allows the Suicide Squad to spread fear amongst Brainiac’s forces, causing vast amounts of poison damage. The downside is that the Shield will be depleted faster, meaning players will have to strategize their attacks accordingly. On the flip side of Endless Torment, Two-Face’s Crime and Punishment set will boost shields and melee damage, which is perfect for those who prefer an up-close combat build.
Even though Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League failed to meet expectations, Rocksteady is continuing to provide quality-of-life updates for players. Resource Rewards are being replaced with more gear and weapons to streamline looting and leveling up, meaning players will get access to high-powered equipment much earlier. Legendary contracts will also pop up more frequently and allow gamers to rake in more rewards, and new Notorious contracts present a tougher challenge but reward players with more Notorious equipment.
Season 3 of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has gotten off to a rocky start, primarily due to the announcement of Lawless joining the team roster. Fans were decidedly muted on the lesser-known character joining the Squad in favor of someone like Deathstroke. However, Rocksteady continues to push Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in a new direction that could make up for the game’s initial disappointment.
