Marnie’s awkward reaction is a testament to her and Lewis’ secret relationship. Fortunately, Marnie doesn’t take the shorts, meaning you can continue your quest to embarrass the mayor.

Add The Shorts To The Luau Festival Soup

Lewis’ missing purple shorts quest is triggered in Summer, around the same time as the Summer Luau Festival in Stardew Valley. This annual event, attended by the entire town and the Governor, is the perfect opportunity to prank Lewis. Since Lewis is desperate to impress the Governor, this prank becomes even more hilarious.

The main attraction at the Luau Festival is a communal potluck, where all the villagers, including the farmer, add an ingredient to the soup. To embarrass Mayor Lewis, you can simply add his lucky purple shorts to the soup. Doing so will get a unique reaction out of the Governor and Lewis.
