The RE (2nd Loop) missions in Slitterhead allow you to revisit previous missions with a slight advantage since you know where to go and what to do to stave off the impending disaster. And while they are largely similar, there are lots of differences between them, which can make them substantially more challenging.

Silent Hill 2: All Weapon Locations
Silent Hill 2 doesn’t have the widest selection of weapons, but you don’t want to risk missing any of them. Here’s where to every weapon in the game.
Overall, you should explore more when accessing RE (2nd Loop) missions, as you can obtain lots of collectibles and goodies that can earn you Skill Tokens and even Outfits and Masks. But, for now, let’s focus primarily on how to complete these missions, as you can always revisit them afterward!
Starting Lurking Parasite RE (2nd Loop) In Slitterhead
Lurking Parasite RE (2nd Loop) is the second RE mission you will get access to in Slitterhead, which has you revisit the first mission of the game, allowing you to find the Slitterhead early to prevent it from wreaking havoc on the city. As such, we strongly recommend choosing Julee and Alex for this mission, as they’re extremely powerful Rarities.
Investigate The Rooftop
When the mission begins, you will have three objectives, but you only have to focus on one of them since you already know the rooftop is the most crucial part of this quest. So, from here, just use Blood Jump to ascend the neon signs, then use it again to reach the rooftop where the dumpster that had the dead body in it last time is.
Check the dumpster to find that there’s no corpse in it yet, allowing you to instantly begin tracking the aura of the Slitterhead, as it is in the area, ready to strike its victim down. Fortunately, you made it in time and can prevent this from happening this time around.
Climb onto the roof directly behind the dumpster to find a couple talking to each other. There will be a woman with a pink shirt here. Approach her and Splatter Blood on her to reveal that she’s the Slitterhead, having it begin fleeing the area, forcing you to start chasing it.
Chase The Slitterhead
After the Slitterhead flees, you must possess your Companion Rarity across the street on the opposite rooftop to resume your pursuit. Once on the other rooftop, examine the body on the floor to reveal that the Slitterhead has changed bodies.
Take a left from the body until you reach a steep drop-off, and use Blood Jump to get on the clothesline far in the distance. Remain on the clothesline and look to the left. You should see a couple standing on an elevated rooftop by themselves.
Make your way over to the couple and Splatter Blood on the woman in the yellow shirt to reveal that she’s the Slitterhead, causing it to flee from the area again, having you go after it yet again.
Defeat Slitterheads
Chasing the Slitterhead for a little bit will have it call upon a couple of lesser Slitterheads, having them temporarily halt your chase. Swiftly take them out with your Skills and switch to other nearby civilians, then begin your hunt once more. These Slitterheads won’t be a challenge at all. They’re just meant to slow you down.
Head down to the main street and use the Sightjack feature to pinpoint the location of the Slitterhead. It will be disguised as a man this time around, wearing a striped shirt. Once you locate them, Splatter Blood on them one last time, causing them to begin running away again.
Use Blood Ripper to slow them down, having them scale back up to the rooftops. Use Blood Jump to follow behind it, eventually leading you to an abandoned rooftop, where you will face it one last time after it evolves.
Defeat Orchid Mantis Slitterhead
Just like before, your opponent will be the Orchid Mantis Slitterhead, which is pretty much identical to the one you faced the first time. In fact, you will likely kill it substantially faster than before, especially if you’ve upgraded your Active Skills or decide to use Alex in addition to Julee.
Be sure to use Julee’s Sonic Claws and heavy attacks while also using her Revive All Skill if things get a little bumpy. Overall, this shouldn’t be too much of a challenge, as you are essentially facing the enemy from the very first mission that has no new moves or anything different about it, making it a cakewalk!
Parrying is also useful here, and the same applies to guarding in general. Just use your Skills wisely and attack when there’s an opening, and you will be good to go!
Lurking Parasite RE (2nd Loop) Rewards
Clearing the RE (2nd Loop) version of Lurking Parasite for the first time will grant you 18 Skill Tokens, allowing you to upgrade whoever you feel like however you see fit. Again, they’re shared Skill Tokens, so use them wisely.
Obligatory, don’t forget to listen to all ‘Talk’ conversations to progress the main story and receive hints for more Rarities, as that’s the primary way to do it!
