How To Complete All Objectives In Parks And Restoration In Planet Coaster 2

In Planet Coaster 2, you’ll spend most of your time thinking of new rides to thrill your guests and delicious food and drink options to serve. However, as you progress through the campaign, new challenges will arise. In the very first chapter, you’ll be tasked with restoring an ancient theme park to its former glory.

We sat down with Planet Coaster 2 game director Richard Newbold to chat about how fans helped shape the game.

There are four sets of objectives to complete to fully revitalize the park, and we’ll walk you through every step to ensure the operation goes smoothly. Here’s how you can make the most of the rundown coasters in Planet Coaster 2 to bring in new guests!

Bronze Objectives

When just starting out, you’ll have to get a few simple rides up and running first before you can work on the bigger coasters. You’ll also need to give guests the basic comforts, like a food shop, and hire your first staff members.

Here’s what you need to do to complete the bronze objectives for this park:

Build A Food Shop Facility

Open up the facilities tab and search for a stall with a burger icon next to it. Pick any of the food stalls and place them in your park. Be sure to connect them to a pathway so your guests can reach the shop and purchase snacks.

Each food stall serves different items, and guests have different dietary needs. For a complete list of shops, check out our guide here!

Once you’ve placed the stall, be sure to open it! You can add scenery to match the park theme later, but for now, you can move onto the next task.

Hire A Janitor And Mechanic

Now that guests have food, and before you can start opening rides, you’ll want to hire some staff members. Specifically, you’ll want to hire a janitor to keep the park clean and a mechanic to operate on the rides.

Open the staff stab, then select the janitor and drop them into your park. Do the same for the mechanic to hire them both. You can hire as many as you’d like, but you only need one for the objective.

Complete And Open The Gomkuva Ride

Your next step is to restore the first coaster in the park. Gomkuva is the coaster on the lower level towards the far end of the park. You’ll notice there are a few places where the track is broken.

You can restore the coaster however you like, so long as it’s complete and able to function.

The best way to restore the coaster is to use the autocomplete function to connect track pieces!

Once the coaster is complete, make sure to power it! You’ll need to place down a power generator and a power distributor. Ensure the distributor within range of the coaster power it up.

Open Two Flat Rides

The last task for the bronze badge is to build and open two flat rides. You can choose from any of the premade flat rides or customize your own. Your best options are building a teacup ride and a swinging ride, as they tend to generate more traffic.

Place them anywhere in your park, power them up, then open the rides so your guests can enjoy them. You’ll earn the bronze badge for the park and be well on your way to earning silver!

Silver Objectives

After you demonstrate your skills in getting the old park up and running again, it’s time to work on making it thrive. To earn the silver badge, you’ll need to continue expanding your park, restoring the ancient coasters, and creating new attractions for guests to enjoy!

Open A Third Flat Ride

The first task is to open a third flat ride. It can be a duplicate of the previous rides, though you’ll be better off placing a new type of flat ride. If you’re aiming for the platinum badge, this will come in handy later.

Again, make sure you have enough power in the area to open the ride, then build the queue and exit paths to usher park guests in and out of the attraction.

Now would be a good time to hire more mechanics and ride attendants to make sure the park runs smoothly!

Complete Vereenti Donc

The next ancient coaster you’ll need to restore is the blue one in the center of the pond. This coaster is a bit more tricky to repair, but autocomplete will be your best friend.

Make sure to connect all the pieces of the track, then test the coaster to see if there are any gaps. Once the coaster is safe to open, start welcoming your guests to the attraction!

If you haven’t built a second power generator, this would be a good time to add a few more.

Build And Open A New Coaster

Next, you’ll get to experiment with making your own coaster. There are no restrictions on what you can build, so use your imagination to come up with something unique! You can also purchase a premade coaster if you have the room in your park.

If you’re in a hurry, you can make a short and sweet coaster that has a single drop and circles around the platform. While guests can be picky, they’ll enjoy simple rides.

After you open your original ride, you’ll earn the silver badge. This marks the halfway point in the restoration project!

Gold Objectives

With the gold objectives, you’ll need to show that you’re really contributing to the park. You’ve already opened several rides, but there’s still more to do to really make the ancient coasters shine!

Have Five Flat Rides

You’ll already have three flat rides open, so place two more around your park. It’s okay if they’re duplicates! Connect pathways to the entrances and exits, then power up the rides and open them for guests.

While not a requirement, it’s worth adding some scenery around the rides to increase their appeal. This will also help with later objectives.

Don’t forget you can adjust the ticket price of your rides to draw in more guests!

Complete Drewst Roda

It’s time to restore the third coaster in the park. With this one, there are even more parts missing, and you’ll need to build sections of the coaster yourself from scratch.

This wooden coaster has lots of twists and turns, so don’t be afraid to move around the existing pieces so they all fit together nicely. After some trial and error, test out the coaster so you can make sure there are no breaks in the track.

Place another power generator or two within range to keep the ride operating without any gaps in power! Open the ride and let the guests provide valuable feedback on the attraction.

Complete And Open A New Coaster

Again, you’ll get to create a coaster of your own design. Choose what you’d like and find a place within your park to start building. There are no restrictions on this project, so build to your heart’s content.

Keep an eye on the rating for your coaster so that it’s not too scary or extreme! Otherwise, guests won’t want to ride it, and you’ll have wasted your money.

Run An Advertisement

The last gold objective is to run an advertisement. This specific campaign requires you to have several shops in the same scenery group before you can run the Retail Ravers ad.

Organize a location in your park where these shops can be joined, then place them close enough together to register them in the same group. When you’re ready, open up the guests tab, check the advertisements section, and run the ad campaign for Retail Ravers.

You’ll earn the silver badge for completing all the objectives thus far, bringing you one step closer to fully completing the park!

Platinum Objectives

The final stretch of this scenario is to fully restore the fourth coaster and increase the park’s overall rating. You’ll need to focus on improving the scenery and guest experiences to make the park thrive.

Complete Glenk Rokkota

Restoring the final coaster will take the most amount of effort when compared to previous coasters. Much of the ride is broken apart, and you’ll need to experiment with where the track pieces connect.

Autocomplete will only take you so far, but you can freely edit the coaster to achieve your goal. Once it’s complete, test it out and open it to the public!

Increase Guest Happiness

The next step is to raise guest happiness. You’ll need to have at least 3,000 guests in the park with an overall happiness rating of 80 percent. You can see how guests feel by checking their individual thoughts or viewing the guests tab.

In the tab, you can see where your park can use some improvement. Whether there’s trash all over or not enough bathrooms available, you can take immediate action to improve the overall guest experience.

Changes won’t take effect immediately, and it may take a few in-game hours to see the results.

Increase Daily Income

The next objective involves raising your daily income above $200,000. The easiest way to do this is to raise the prices on your most popular rides while also opening more shops for food, drinks, and merchandise.

If you want to make more money, you can build a pool and a couple flumes to entice guests to buy a water park pass at guest services.

You can also introduce premiere pass lanes on your busier rides to provide additional income. It will take time, but you can easily reach this goal if you have a variety of rides, shops, and happy guests.

Increase Park Rating

The final objective is to increase your park rating to four and a half stars. You can check your park rating from the menu and see what aspects hurt you most.

Having a variety of rides is important. From coasters to flat rides and water attractions, having plenty of choices will greatly raise your park’s appeal. Make sure to place plenty of scenery and run advertisements to bring in more guests and give them a good time.

It will take patience, but you can raise your park rating within a few in-game days to meet the objective and earn your platinum badge!
