Genshin Impact Chasca ascension materials and banner details

What is Genshin Impact Chasca’s banner, abilities, and ascension materials? Chasca is set to be a five-star, bow-user and Anemo character, and it looks like she’ll play in the main DPS role. Here’s everything we know about her abilities, skills, banner, and ascension materials.

There’s not long to go until the Genshin Impact 5.2 release date, and we already have a good idea of what to expect from the next Genshin Impact banners, and which new Genshin Impact characters are on their way. Thanks to leaks from Honey Hunter, we can also speculate on what her abilities look like and which ascension materials we’ll need to fully ascend.

Genshin Impact Chasca banner release date

While we don’t have an official release date for Chasca, we should hear more from the upcoming 5.2 livestream. She has already been announced by Hoyoverse, which means there’s a strong possibility she’ll appear in the next update.

Genshin Impact Chasca abilities

Normal attack – Phantom Feather Flurry

  • Normal attack: Performs up to four consecutive shots with a bow.
  • Charged attack: Performs a precise aimed shot with increased damage. While aiming, winds accumulate on the arrowhead; a fully charged wind arrow deals Anemo damage.
  • Plunging attack: Fires a shower of arrows in midair before falling and striking the ground, hitting enemies along the path and dealing AoE damage on impact.

Elemental skill – Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt

Chasca deals Nightsoul-aligned AoE Anemo damage. After using this skill, Chasca gains 80 Nightsoul points and enters the Nightsoul’s Blessing state.

Nightsoul’s Blessing

Consume Nightsoul points, when points are fully depleted or the skill is reused, Chasca’s Nightsoul Blessing state ends. Chasca executes a Nightsoul aligned plunging attack, release the skill to maintain an airborne state, and if she hits the ground the Nightsoul’s Blessing state ends. Nightsoul’s Blessing has the following traits:

  • Mounts the Soulsniper Ritual Staff increases Chasca’s movement speed and interruption resistance. In this state, Chasca continually consumes Nightsoul points to remain airborne. When sprinting or increasing height, extra Nightsoul points are consumed.
  • When using normal or charged attacks, tap or hold to switch between Multitarget Fire.

Multitarget Fire

  • Tap to deal Nightsoul-aligned Anemo damage to enemies in front, this damage is considered normal attack damage.
  • Hold to enter aiming mode and choose a certain number of enemies within a certain range, before loading up to six Shadowhunt Shells based on the duration of the charged skill. When six shells have been loaded or the charging stops, these shells fire at the selected enemies.

Shadowhunt Shells

  • These shells deal Nightsoul-aligned Anemo damage, which is considered charged attack damage.
  • The fourth, fifth, and sixth shells loaded undergo elemental conversion based on the elemental types of the other characters in the party. If a party member is Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro, one Shadowhunt Shell is randomly converted into a Shining Shadowhunt Shell, dealing Nightsoul-aligned damage corresponding with the elemental type, and is considered charged attack damage.
  • The shells loaded into the cylinder are fired starting from the last Shadowhunt Shell to be loaded, last in, first out.

Elemental Burst – Soul Reaper’s Fatal Round

Chasca fires a single Galesplitting Soulseeker Shell that deals Nightsoul-aligned AoE Anemo damage. Afterwards, the shell splits into six Soulseeker Shells and attacks nearby enemies.

Soulseeker Shells

  • Deal Nightsoul-aligned Anemo damage
  • For each Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro character in the party, two Soulseeker Shells undergo elemental conversion to become Radiant Soulseeker Shells, which deal Nightsoul-aligned elemental damage from a randomly selected elemental type.

  • Mediation’s True Meaning: 25 Phlogiston is restored when your party members defeat an enemy. This effect can trigger once every 12 seconds. This has no effect in Domains, Trounce Domains, or the Spiral Abyss.
  • Night Realm’s Gift – Everburning Heart: After her Nightsoul points are depleted, Chasca switches to consume Phlogiston to maintain her Nightsoul’s Blessing. While in an area with Phlogiston Mechanics within Natlan, she can use Nightsoul Transmission: when the active character is in the air, when switching to Chasca, she enters her Nightsoul’s Blessing state and gains 32 Nightsoul points. This effect can be triggered once every ten seconds by your team.
  • Bullet Trick: When Chasca’s elemental skill, Multitarget Fire, is being charged, if there are party members who meet the elemental conversion, Chasca gains the following effects based on the number of elemental types present. There is a 33.3%/66.7%/100% chance for each type to trigger Spiritbinding Conversion and cause the third Shadowhunt Shell loaded into the cylinder to be randomly converted into a Shining Shadowhunt Shell. Each element type grants Chasca one stack of Spirit of the Radiant Shadow, increasing damage of Shining Shadowhunt Shell by 15%/35%/65%. Lasts until Multitarget Fire ends, and has three max stacks.
  • Intent to Cover: When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, Chasca fires a Burning Shadowhunt Shot at a nearby enemy dealing Nightsoul-aligned Anemo damage equal to 150% of the Shadowhunt Shell damage from her elemental skill. If the party has Pyro, Hydro, Cyro, or Electro characters, the Burning Shadowhunt Shot is converted to deal Nightsoul-aligned elemental damage to the corresponding elemental type equal to 150% of the damage dealt by the elemental skill’s Shining Shadowhunt Shells. The damage is considered charged attack damage.

  • Cylinder, the Restless Roulette: When triggering Bullet Trick, the second Shadowhunt Shell is converted into a Shining Shadowhunt Shell. The chance to trigger conversion increases if there are party members who meet the elemental conversion type requirements.
  • Muzzle, the Searing Smoke: When Chasca takes the field, she obtains a one stack of Spirit of the Radiant Shadow from Bullet Trick. Shining Shadowhunt Shells from the elemental skill, Multitarget Fire, deal AoE elemental damage when they hit enemies, corresponding to the elemental type of the Shining Shadowhunt Shells equal to 400% to Chasca’s attack. This damage is considered charged attack damage.
  • Reins, Her Careful Control: Increases the level of Spirit Reins, Shadow Hunt by three. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
  • Sparks, the Sudden Shot: When the Radiant Soulseeker Shells from Chasca’s elemental burst hit enemies, they restore 1.5 elemental energy to Chasca and deal AoE elemental damage of the corresponding elemental type of the Radiant Soulseeker Shells equal to 400% of Chasca’s attack. The damage is considered charged attack damage.
  • Brim, the Sandshow’s Silhouette: Increases the level of Soul Reaper’s Fatal Round by three. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
  • Showdown, the Glory of Battle: Chasca’s Multitarget Fire charge time is decreased and Bullet Trick’s Spiritbinding Conversion is triggered, meaning Chasca gains the Fatal Rounds state. For the next three seconds, when Chasca uses her elemental skill, Multitarget Fire, the shots finish charging instantly and the critical damage increases by 120%. One Fatal Rounds effect can be gained once every three seconds.

Chasca materials farming guide

Anemo ascension materials

Like all Anemo characters, Chasca requires Vayuda Turquoise as an ascension material, in its different rarities from slivers, fragments, chunks, and gemstones. If you’re familiar with Anemo characters, you may have already farmed this material, if not, then you’ll find Vayuda Turquoise from boss drops, with rarities differing depending on the boss difficulty.

Chasca ascension materials drop from the following bosses:

  • Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom
  • Stormterror Dvalin
  • Algorithm of Semi-Intranscient Matrix of Overseer Network
  • Anemo Hypostasis
  • Icewind Suite
  • Maguu Kenki
  • Setekh Wenut
  • Solitary Suanni

Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom and Stormterror are the two weekly bosses that drop variations of Vayuda Turquoise. The former can be found in Joururi Workshop and the latter the Trounce Domain, Confront Stormterror. If taking on these bosses doesn’t appeal, then you can always craft higher tiered versions of Vayuda Turquoise by combining lower tiers of other materials with Dust Of Azoth. Another option is to use Alchemy, but this will set you back a lot of Mora, so we don’t recommend that option.

Withering Purpurbloom

One of Chasca’s ascension materials, Withering Purpurbloom, isn’t currently available, but has been leaked via Honey Hunter World. It looks like this purple flower with orange leaves is available in Natlan, specifically Ochkanatlan, an area that looks like it could arrive in the 5.2 update.

Ensnaring Gaze

Ensnaring Gaze is another leaked ascension material that should release in the 5.2 update. It’s a four-star rarity and is dropped by a challenging new boss, Tenebrous Papilla.

Fangs

You’ll need three different types of fangs: Juvenile Fang, Seasoned Fang, and Tyrant’s Fang, to fully ascend Chasca. Fangs can be combined with Mora to produce higher tiered versions, such as three Juvenile Fangs and 25 Mora producing a Seasoned Fang. You can also find they drop from common enemies:

  • Koholasaur
  • Koholasaurus
  • Tepetlisaur Whelp
  • Tepetlisaurus
  • Yumkasaur Whelp
  • Yumkasaurus

Talent materials

You can obtain Teachings of Conflict, Guide to Conflict, and Philosophies of Conflict from Blazing Ruins on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, at the Domain of Mastery located in Coatepec Mountains.

Silken Feather can be crafted using Alchemy using either one Fading Candle and one Dream Solvent, or one Denial and Judgment and one Dream Solvent. It’s also dropped from, The Knave, found in the Scattered Ruins.

That’s everything on the Genshin Impact Chasca banner and what to expect from the upcoming character. If you’re hoping to get Chasca, keep an eye on the latest Genshin Impact codes and where she’ll fit into our Genshin Impact tier list of ranked characters.
