Best AS VAL Builds In Black Ops 6

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has brought back a ton of fan-favorite weapons for use in Multiplayer and Zombies. The AS VAL is one such weapon, a fast-firing assault rifle with an integrated suppressor and high handling stats for its class. This weapon was made for run-and-gun playstyles, and it can hold its own in Zombies with the right attachments.

Turn your enemies into mincemeat with the best weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Today, we’ll be looking at two builds that make the AS VAL a standout weapon for core multiplayer and Zombies. We will also look at useful perks and equipment synergies to help push the AS VAL to its upper limit.

Multiplayer AS VAL Loadout

Recoil Springs (Fire Mods)
  • +Horizontal Recoil Control
  • +Vertical Recoil Control
  • -19% Recoil Gun Kick
  • -10% Horizontal Recoil
  • -20% Vertical Recoil

The AS VAL is already a powerhouse in close quarters, but you’ll need a few recoil mitigation attachments to make it excel in mid-range duels and beyond. Thankfully, this weapon has an absurdly powerful variant of Recoil Springs in the fire mods category, giving it roughly 20% less recoil across the board.

We then throw on the Ranger Foregrip to reduce the gun’s horizontal recoil while buffing our sprint speed, making this weapon function closer to an SMG. The Extended Mag I attachment then helps with getting multikills with this weapon. Despite the rather large 30% reload speed nerf, the AS VAL still reloads about as fast as most ARs.

Run the Suppressed Long Barrel to buff the gun’s mid-range effectiveness, then use any ADS stock to finish the build; we prefer the Ergonomic Grip for its slide-to-fire reduction.

Loadout Recommendations

Perks
Specialty Recon
Column One Ghost, Ninja
Column Two Forward Intel
Column Three Double Time
Equipment
Wildcard Perk Greed
Lethal Preference
Tactical Stim
Field Upgrade Sleeper Agent

Recon is ideal for a suppressed weapon like this. Ghost and Ninja work together to make you impossible to locate. UAVs won’t spot you, and enemies won’t be able to hear your footsteps. Forward Intel is useful for the larger minimap, although feel free to use Tracker instead for one-life modes like Search and Destroy. Your final perk is up to you—we recommend Double Time.

This build uses Perk Greed, a fairly late-level Wildcard. We suggest using your Prestige unlock token on it so you don’t need to unlock Perk Greed again.

As for equipment, you can’t go wrong with Stims and Semtex for general play. Field Upgrades should be tailored for the game mode in question. Sleeper Agent can sow some chaos real quick once you activate it. If you’re playing objective modes, try the Trophy System instead. And if you just want to slay out, run War Cry.

Our Gunfighter configuration isn’t much different since the AS VAL already has most of its bases covered. From the last loadout, we throw on any optic to make it easier to track targets, No Stock to buff your overall movement speed, and the Strelok Laser to give this weapon extreme accuracy the second you start aiming. This makes firing enemies mid-slide or dive significantly more consistent, provided you aim first.

Our loadout recommendations remain the same here. Recon is ideal for stealth playstyles. Use Ghost to hide your minimap presence, then throw on your other two favorite blue perks to trigger Recon’s Combat Specialty. Everything else is up to you.
