All Banuk Figure Locations in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is not lacking in collectibles to find, and one of these is Banuk Artifacts, which tell the story of a man who was exiled from Banuk lands long before Aloy finds them. They come in sets, and you can sell each set to a special kind of Merchant in Meridian for unique rewards, so a lot of players tend to make finding them a priority.

In total, you need to find six Banuk Artifacts across Horizon Zero Dawn‘s map for a total of three sets. You can buy maps from Merchants to get markers of where they are located, but it only gives you a general area to look in as opposed to a single location where they are situated. All of them are also alongside steep cliffs and mountains, so finding the spots where you need to start climbing can be a bit of a challenge.

Banuk Artifact #1: My Claim

The first Banuk Artifact can be found just North of the Devil’s Thirst Bandit Camp. This is the first Bandit Camp you’ll clear after you meet Nil, and the Figure is on the mountain nearby. When you reach the foot of the mountain, look for Banuk paintings and poles with handholds at the bottom of the cliff. Climb all the way to the top, following the handholds and walkways until you reach the Banuk Artifact. There should be a zipline you can glide down when you’re done.

Banuk Artifact #2: I Name You

The second Banuk Artifact can be found just before you leave Nora lands, near a small settlement called Hunter’s Gathering. To begin the climb, find a pole with handholds inside the village and jump onto it – it should be next to Gera, who gives you a quest to find her husband. Continue to climb up the cliff wall until you can stand on solid ground again.

From here, go past the zipline and continue the climb up the mountain on the right until you get to the collectible. If you get lost at any point, always look for the Banuk paintings on the rocks – as they will lead you to the Artifact.

Banuk Artifact #3: Punishment

You can find this Artifact near the Banuk encampment on the North-East side of the map. You’ll get a quest later on to “Investigate the Banuk Camp”, so you can also come back and get the Figure when you complete this quest.

Just before you reach the camp, look for a small cliff alongside the mountain range on the right (as you approach the camp) and look for Banuk paintings on the cliffside. There’s also a wooden pole with some fabric and handholds attached to it near where you should start the climb. Just continue up, following the handholds, and you’ll find the Banuk Artifact at the end of the path.

Banuk Artifact #4: I Cannot Confess

The next Banuk Artifact can be found West of Meridian on a large cliff. The easiest way to get to it is to travel to the campfire nearest to it, which is also near Brightmarket, and walk toward the map marker. You’re going to need to pass some Sawtooths and Bellowbacks, though, so make sure you’re ready for a fight or sneak past them.

As you approach the marker, look for a pole similar to the ones near the other Banuk Artifacts you’ve found so far – with fabric and markings on it. Climb down the cliff from this pole until you can see a zipline that Aloy can walk across to reach the Artifact.

You can also climb to the Figure from the bottom of the cliff, so if you start there, make sure to look for the Banuk paintings between the Sawtooth and Longleg site.

Banuk Artifact #5: The Vision

You may need to wait a bit before you get this Banuk Artifact, because it’s just South of Sunfall, and Sylens will warn you against going near this area until you reach an important story point. Nonetheless, when you do get there, you can freely explore around Sunfall and get it.

You’re going to need to find a specific rock (pictured above) that has a pole with handholds in front of it and start your climb from there. The rock is closer to Sunfall than the actual Artifact is, but you won’t be able to get to the collectible from any other place other than this starting point. Simply follow the path until you can’t anymore, and you’ll find it.

Banuk Artifact #6: Mother

The last Banuk Artifact in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered can be found on the North side of the map, along the mountain just South of Pitchcliff. Like the other Figures, to find where you need to start climbing, move toward the marker and look for the Banuk paintings alongside the cliff face. Climb up the cliff, always following the recognizable poles and paintings, and you’ll find the Banuk Artifact that rounds out the last set of the collectible.
