It’s suffice to say the whole affair was a bit of a disaster for everyone besides Wizards of the Coast, and fans have been letting their frustrations out on social media.

Another user under this post describes their situation, in which they filled their cart with the products they wanted to buy, and had to wait in a three and a half hour queue, only for their cart to have been emptied at the end.

Other players decided that the wait didn’t justify the means, and bailed mid-way through the queue out of frustration, such as Twitter user WachelReeks, who called the entire situation “dreadful” from Wizards of the Coast. There are plenty of other disgruntled fans in the replies too, featuring people who queued up for specific cards, only to find them sold out after their long wait.
Unsurprisingly, this backlash also has quite a lot of MTG fans calling for Wizards of the Coast to bring back print-to-demand for Secret Lairs, which used to be the case before the switch to this current system.
