Resident Evil 9 Leak Claims Leon Kennedy Looks “Much Older”
Key Takeaways
- New leaks claim that Leon Kennedy will look “much older”, but Jill Valentine will look pretty much the same in Resident Evil 9.
- Allegedly, the game is set four years after Village, which would make Leon 48 and Jill 50.
More Resident Evil 9 leaks have surfaced following an alleged April and September playtest.
They affirm that Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine are the protagonists, but also shed light on how much they’ve changed in the years since we last saw them.
How Old Will Leon Kennedy And Jill Valentine Be In Resident Evil 9?
Jill Valentine’s most recent appearance was in the CGI animated movie Death Island, which takes place in 2015. She was 40 during the film, which would make her 46 by the time of Village. According to the leaks, Resident Evil 9 takes place four years later, which would make her 50.
Leon Kennedy was 38 in Death Island, meaning that by the time of Resident Evil 9, he’ll be 48. According to the leaks, he will look “much older”, but Jill will still look “the same as she did in Death Island”. If you haven’t watched the movie, that’s pretty much exactly how she looked in the Resident Evil 3 remake when she was 23.
It’s especially weird considering how much the male characters have aged in the same time frame. But during Death Island, it was revealed that the T-Virus Jill was infected with prior to Resident Evil 5 slowed down her aging. I guess that’s one way to handwave it, eh?
Jill And Leon’s New Outfits
According to the leaks, Leon Kennedy will wear a similar outfit to what he wore in the 2012 film Damnation, which saw him in a tactical bullet-proof vest over a black jacket. It’s a lot more practical than his Resident Evil 4 look.
Jill Valentine will also reportedly wear a more tactical outfit, similar to the one in Resident Evil 5: Lost in Nightmares. You can see both outfits in the image above.
Barry and Chris Redfield are also alleged to make an appearance, supporting Jill and Leon over the radio.
Resident Evil 9 hasn’t been formally announced, so there’s no concrete release date yet. Reportedly, we can expect it to launch around late 2025 to 2026, but take that with a grain of salt until Capcom itself reveals the game proper.
