If you’re a cricket fan looking for a fresh take on the classic game of bat and ball on mobile, I have some news for you. Real Cricket Swipe has officially hit open beta on Android, and it’s bringing a simpler, more easy to understand way of playing the hit Real Cricket game.

Real Cricket Swipe brings realistic motion-capture animations and stadiums

I know you are curious about what this swipe version does differently than the original game. From the makers, Real Cricket Swipe simplifies the control scheme by using swipe mechanics to bring you into the action of real cricket. With a few swipes, you can execute powerful shots or cheeky plays that put you in an exciting game of cricket, to enjoy the thrill on the go.

Talking about features, this latest addition to the series brings a variety of them, starting with over 250 officially licensed international players and 650+ batting shots. There’s another feature called Custom Difficulty, which lets you tailor AI behaviour to your preferences, adjusting elements like batting aggression, bowling speed, and fielding accuracy.

To add to the excitement, Real Cricket Swipe includes a Mission Mode where you can jump into intense match moments, like defending a low score or chasing down runs in the last over. Every mission you complete brings in-game rewards. Plus, the game boosts the experience with realistic motion-capture animations and stadiums modelled after real-world venues, complete with their unique boundary shapes as well.

As for game modes, ODI World Cups, 20-20 World Cups, and RCPL Editions are currently available. From what I’ve noticed, the commentary is better and refined for each shot. There are some downsides too, the size of the app isn’t any smaller, and the graphics can be seen as a dip-down. Well, not much to complain about as this is an open beta, which will surely see improvements as updates arrive.

Real Cricket Swipe is available as an open beta for Android platforms, which you can access via the Google Play Store. The iOS details are not out yet, so stay tuned for official updates.
