Metaphor: ReFantazio - The Incarnate In The Woods Bounty Guide

The final month of Metaphor: ReFantazio gives you an entire month of free time to prepare for the final fight with Louis, along with a unique weather effect called Dread that overtakes the world. During this month, it’s important to make your party as strong as possible and complete as much side content as you can to prepare for the final fight.

Three new bounties will become available during this time, with the final one on the list being The Incarnate In The Woods, which will have you come face to face with Ordemos; here’s how to beat it.

Metaphor: ReFantazio – 7 Weapon Types That Make It Easier To Kill Enemies In The Field

Don’t be caught dead in a dungeon without these weapons.

  • Level 63
  • Bring an Archetype with dark spells, preferably from the Thief Lineage.
  • Shelter Formation is a useful defensive skill from the General.
  • Have at least two party members with defensive and offensive party-wide buffs.

The exact Archetypes you choose to equip are up to you, as Skill Inheritance lets you transfer dark magic and defensive buff skills onto any Archetype. This boss relies heavily on physical attacks, so be sure no Archetypes are weak to any physical attack. While it’s not recommended to bring the Berserker, the War Cry ability can be very helpful against this boss. Heal-all spells from the Healer Lineage will also be a necessity, as most attacks will hit the whole party.

The Price Archetype with Resist All can help make the Protagonist a non-issue during this fight, as the damage he takes will always be greatly reduced. It’s also not recommended to bring any attacks that deal physical damage as the boss will resist them all.

Try to max out Catherina before entering the dungeon, as her final bonus as a follower may have her help out in this fight.

Duo Synthesis skills in Metaphor: ReFantazio are some of the strongest in the game, and these in particular will come in handy in hard battles.

Physical damage is not a good option in this fight as Ordemos will resist just about all of it. Ordemos will often use Breath of Battle, which increases its attack and defense. It’s best to either counter these buffs with debuffs or match your own buffs to negate the effects. While Ordemos won’t use Breath of Battle every turn, it will use it just about every other turn, sometimes back to back. It also has access to War Cry, which lowers the attack and defense of one party member by one rank. Buffs and debuffs are important in this fight, so be sure to have at least two party members buffing or debuffing most turns, with occasional party-wide heal.

For the most part, Ordemos will use physical attacks that hit the entire party. As long as his buffs and your own are matched or in your favor, these attacks shouldn’t do much damage. He also has a fire and lighting single-target attack, but these are few and far between, while also not often inflicting a status ailment. The biggest concern outside of buffs will be Earsplitting Shriek, which may daze multiple party members. If inflicted with Daze, either cure them quickly or focus on support spells until the effect has worn off.
