How To Unlock The True Ending In Metal Slug Tactics

Like most roguelites, Metal Slug Tactics is an endless cycle. The Peregrine Falcons fight their way to Sirocco City and destroy the Jupiter King, only for Morden to let out a villainous laugh and escape. Everyone returns to HQ, and the battle starts over again.

The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom – How To Unlock The True Ending

In four simple steps, you can unlock TotK’s real ending.

Of course, it’s not very satisfying for the bad guy to get away every time. If only there was a way to stop him from fleeing after the Jupiter King boss battle. You’re in luck, because with several runs’ worth of preparation, you can do just that.

How To Prevent Morden’s Escape

Morden relies on his three generals – Abbas, Paqar, and O’Neill – to facilitate his escape. As long as at least one of them is still at large at the end of a run, you won’t be able to unlock the true ending. Therefore, your first step is drawing out each of the generals, one by one, on separate runs.

You need to defeat Morden at least once and let him get away to start this event chain.

In the first region that you visit on a run, make sure to complete the mission with the Medal reward. These missions are generally harder, but finishing them will provide a clue to one of the generals’ whereabouts. Since you’ll need to search several regions, it’s important to remember that if you’re hunting a specific general, you need to start in a different region than their home territory, as follows:

To fight…

Start in…

Then Go To…

And End In…

Abbas

Herkhanet Tombs

Soursop Jungle

Argun Palm Desert

O’Neill

Soursop Jungle

Argun Palm Desert

Herkhanet Tombs

Paqar

Argun Palm Desert

Herkhanet Tombs

Soursop Jungle

If you’re eligible to continue the search for a general, you’ll see the Rebel Army symbol on the next region you need to visit on the world map. You must visit that region next and complete its Medal objective to continue the storyline, or you’ll have to try again on your next run.

If you reach the third region having completed both of the Medal objectives in the previous two, a general will appear. Defeating them counts as one of your three missions before the War Machine boss appears, which means you’ll need to fight both the general and the War Machine.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: How To Get The True Ending

Here’s what you need to do during the final sequence to unlock the Dragon’s Dogma 2 true final ending.

True Ending Run

Once you’ve defeated all three generals on separate runs, you’ll be able to try fighting all of them in the same campaign. When you start a new run, look for the Rebel Army Symbol on the world map. Go to the marked region and fight the general waiting there, as before. Once you beat them and take out the War Machine, repeat the process in the other two regions.

If you survive all three regions, having defeated Abbas, Big Shiee, O’Neill, Aeshi Nero, Paqar, and Dragon Nosuke all in the same run, proceed to Sirocco City and fight Morden as normal. After his second phase, when he’d normally escape, the boss battle will instead proceed to a third phase.

The final battle against Morden’s Jupiter King takes place on an L-shaped map, which can make maneuvering difficult. Characters with the Parkour Passive Ability and teleport skills will have a much easier time avoiding the inordinate number of lasers and taking cover against the supporting fire from O’Neill’s minigun.

Just like the second phase, you’ll get a full heal and an ammo refresh at the start of the third phase, but you won’t get any more Reinforcements than you went in with. If you’ve made it this far, your team is probably up to the task; stick to the strategy that’s brought you to the final battle. Once you defeat Jupiter King for the third and final time, you’ll receive the True Ending and the Achievement/Trophy that goes with it.
