How to Play the Guilty Gear Strive 3 V 3 Open Beta
Guilty Gear Strive has had longevity, with more players, tournaments, and interest than a lot of newer fighting games. It’s primarily been a traditional 1 v 1 fighter though, which could change with a new mode. Arc System Works are looking to expand the game. With a Guilty Gear Strive 3 v 3 open beta.
The title has had quite a bit of support post launch. Even now, the game is just starting up a fourth season with even more DLC characters. One interesting way that we’re getting more content though is another 3 v 3 Open Beta. An opportunity to try the same fighters, but in a new format. New and old in a fresh context.
The option isn’t coming as just an update. Instead, it’s being tested first with an open beta period. This is an opportunity to try out the test. Betas are sometimes a little hard to access though, even open ones. How can you play in the 3 v 3 open beta and test everything out?

Guilty Gear Strive 3 V 3 Open Beta
Guilty Gear Strive is starting up a Beta for 3 V 3. How can you take part and how will it work? This will be a new test taking place over November, with online battles trying out a team of three. It’s not to replace the core game, but be a new mode to add to it.
The Open Beta is going to be available on PlayStation, Steam, and Xbox. The only other requirement is having a full version of Strive. To try it out, you’ll need to launch the game during the period and take part. This is the schedule for the beta:
- November 7th 6 PM PT – November 10th 11 PM PT
The test is going to include everything released so far for the full long weekend test. All the Guilty Gear Strive characters including the latest DLC that’s available. The Open Beta includes a few different ways to play. There’s a tutorial, in case you need help adjusting. Then an online battle and player match, so you can test things out locally too. The whole thing is accessible to get a feel for Guilty Gear Strive in 3 v 3.
This beta will hopefully be an exciting test of the team mode. It has had limited tests before, but hopefully, we’re working towards a release for Guilty Gear Strive 3 v 3 after this open beta.
