How Long Does It Take To Complete Slitterhead?
Slitterhead puts you into the shoes (do spirits wear shoes?) of the Night Owl, a mysterious incorporeal phantom who can leap from person to person, controlling and turning them into weapons. You do this in pursuit of one solitary goal: to eradicate the Slitterhead menace.
It’s a decently sized game, spanning over three days with a handful of missions taking place in the same few semi-open levels. Whether you’re planning to focus solely on the mission at hand or go on a collecathon hunt while Slitterheads eat helpless civilians, we’ve broken down just how long you’ll be spending in Kowlong.
How Long Does It Take To Beat Slitterhead?
Early on in Slitterhead’s story, you’ll unlock the ability to time travel, which allows you to replay missions with new objectives. This means that, across the three days that the game is split into, there are roughly six missions per day.
Completing all of these (and thus the game) will take you around 15 hours. But if you want to upgrade the abilities and weapons of your eight Rarities, you’ll need to find optional collectibles like the Hyoki Memory Fragments.
There are a few that are hard to miss, but if you want a decent amount of Skill Tokens, you’ll need to conduct a more thorough search of each level.
How Long Does It Take To 100 Percent?
Slitterhead has a few different collectibles — Rarities, the aforementioned Hyoki Memory Fragments, masks, costumes, shrines, and Mysterious Old Lady sightings.
Shrines unlock costumes and masks (as does playing several of the missions), and the Mysterious Old Lady sightings will unlock Betty, one of the Rarities, so they all tie together.
In total, there are eight Rarities, 36 Hyoki Memory Fragments, ten masks, 17 costumes, and 12 shrines. There are also 41 achievements to take consideration of, such as using an active skill 100 times, causing 100 civilian casualties, defeating 50 slitterheads, deflecting 200 times, using all active skills in the game, and maximising every Rarity skill.
There are also difficulty achievements for clearing the game. The highest of which is ‘Nightmare’.
Most of these you’ll naturally complete as you play the game, but others are worth being conscious of. All in all, it should take you around 20 to 25 hours to 100 percent the game, depending on whether or not you use our guides to help find some of those trickier collectibles.
