Helldivers 2 Major Order Asks You To Recruit “Cheap Labor” For A Superweapon
The theater of war in Helldivers 2 is a complicated one. With two separate fronts to defend against, Super Earth must make some tough decisions about where to send in its brave soldiers and when to cut and run. The last few Major Orders have been building up to launching Super Earth’s newest weapon, the Democracy Space Station.

Arrowhead made the Helldivers 2 Major Order count in the most whoselome way possible.
While the build-up to this “superweapon” has been slow and hard-fought, the Helldivers have been making progress towards it. The next step in launching the weapon is to staff it, for which the Major Order is to recruit “cheap labor”. The devs really want to push the morality of the player base, as this will be done by recruiting “disenfranchised families” trying to escape conflict.
Super Earth’s Own Death Star
Issued only yesterday, the new Major Order states that progress on the DSS continues despite the setback of the previous orders. However, the next step in bringing the superweapon to a functional state is to staff it. Being a weapon, it isn’t exactly going to have the comfortable quarters, so Super Earth has decided to forcibly recruit what are essentially refugees of war.
“Despite the narrow setback, construction of the DSS continues unabated,” states the brief for the new Major Order. “It is currently in its third construction phase, and before it can be activated, it must be staffed. Fortunately, cheap labor is emerging from the colonies near the Gloom that is currently experiencing something of an eruption with extremely fierce attacks coming out of it.
“The Helldivers are ordered to hold the designated planets while these disenfranchised families make their new home aboard the superweapon.”
Helldivers 2 players aren’t really new to following morally questionable orders. Whether it’s attacking harmless Terminid nurseries or ignoring the consequences of fulfilled orders, the Helldivers never question High Command’s orders.

Helldivers 2 features Arrowhead’s best cooperative gameplay yet. Collaboration will be vital: Teams will synergize on loadouts, strategize their approach for each mission, and complete objectives together.
However, earlier this year, players had to choose between two Major Orders, one that would unlock the MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines and the other which involved saving trapped children for no reward. The community rallied to save the children, prompting the developers to make an actual donation to the Save the Children foundation. So, there is still some humanity left on Super Earth.
It seems something big is on the horizon, as the DSS is coming close to completion. Perhaps this series of events will officially reveal the Illuminate, finally giving Helldivers a third front to hold, besides bugs and bots.
