In Frostpunk, you manage the last city on frosty Earth amidst an impending deep freeze. As the city’s leader, your citizens’ survival is in your hands – but keeping them alive, while maintaining the city’s growth and infrastructure, is far from a walk in the park. Frostpunk is challenging and you regularly need to make tough decisions that weigh up your morality.
Will you send kids to work rather than school to improve your workforce, ultimately keeping your city alive for longer but angering your citizens? Should you bulk out food rations with additives (even if it makes your citizens sick) to allow for more food rations to be spread around? I have never been able to get to the end game of Frostpunk, despite numerous attempts – but the fact I’ve kept trying despite my failure should tell you how addictive it can be.
If you do manage to make your way through this chilly sim, you’ll have three expansion packs to play through, which come as a bonus with the Game of the Year Edition. This edition also includes the soundtrack and a digital artbook.
