Black Ops 6 Players Are Finding Their Optics Disappearing
Over the past 24 hours, dozens of reports have cropped up on the Black Ops 6 subreddit, with people complaining that, despite equipping them, their optics are disappearing from their guns.
The issue generally seems to occur after visiting the Gunsmith and equipping a new optic to a weapon. Upon exiting the Gunsmith, the optic will disappear, leaving the weapon with its default sight.
Seemingly, the only way to fix the issue is through brute force, equipping your optic over and over until it finally stays on the gun. However, one player reported that “going to the Microsoft store, checking for updates, and updating Xbox gaming services” resolved the issue for them.
This coincided with the game’s latest update, which nerfed Recon, headshots, and snaking. Treyarch noted this, and the team reportedly resolved the issue, according to its Trello board.
It’s one of a number of problems that have hit the game since it launched last week, with players reporting they “hate” the Zombies AFK timer, and a variety of bugs caused the game to launch to ‘Mixed’ reviews on the Valve-owned platform Steam.
