Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has a huge variety of reticles that you can equip for each scope and every weapon, and just like the unlocks in the rest of the game, there’s a satisfying progression system for unlocking each reticle for every scope.

Much like your settings, reticles largely come down to preference. Each reticle has its own feel, and different feels will appeal to different players. However, some reticles have unique elements or some kind of markings on them that are going to prove beneficial for larger groups of players than other reticles.

Classic

Unlocking the Classic reticle requires getting 500 kills while aiming down the sights of the scope that you’re looking to unlock the reticle on. It is the last reticle available for the scope.

The Classic reticle is exactly what it sounds like: the most default reticle you can possibly imagine, outside of, perhaps, a single dot. The Classic reticle simply has a vertical and horizontal line connecting in the center.

Green Dot

Unlocking the Green Dot reticle requires getting 50 kills while aiming down the sights of the scope that you’re looking to unlock the reticle on. It is the second reticle available for the scope.

Let’s not waste words here. The Green Dot reticle is a green dot. That’s it. And for the minimalists, that’s exactly what they’re looking for. Nothing getting in the way, nothing to draw your gaze, just one dot that you want to put on the enemy.

Focused

The Focused reticle is possibly the sight with the best combination of open space and markings, making it a great mix between optimal view and markings that help you to line your enemy up with ease.

Red Circled

Unlocking the Red Circled reticle requires getting 150 kills while aiming down the sights of the scope that you’re looking to unlock the reticle on. It is the fourth reticle available for the scope.

The Red Circled reticle barely gets above the minimal look of the Green Dot, but what it adds is meaningful. The translucent red circle around the dot provides a little bit more context for where you’re trying to put the enemy, and it can be helpful to have.

Red Hunter

Unlocking the Red Hunter reticle requires getting 200 kills while aiming down sights of the scope that you’re looking to unlock the reticle on. It is the fifth reticle available for the scope.

The Red Hunter reticle is one of the reticles in the game that appeals to the player who prefers the upside-down v as opposed to the dot or circle reticle. This is probably the cleanest of all of that style of scope, with a lot of open space on the outside.

Pinpoint

Unlocking the Focused reticle requires getting 1,800 kills in Zombies while aiming down the sights of the scope that you’re looking to unlock the reticle on. It is the second to last reticle available for the scope.

The Pinpoint reticle might not make the list if it wasn’t one of the most unique reticles in the game. It’s almost entirely open, and instead of the traditional style of having markings towards the bottom, it keeps them towards the top, essentially asking you to put an arrow above your enemies’ heads.

Red Spectral

Unlocking the Red Spectral reticle requires getting 300 kills while aiming down sights of the scope that you’re looking to unlock the reticle on. It is the seventh reticle available for the scope.

The Red Spectral reticle has a lot going on, but all of those lines coming from different angles mix together to create a shape that is very easy to understand and put enemies inside of. It’s easy to separate a head from a body with this sight, making it great for precision shots.

Triangulate

Unlocking the Triangulate reticle requires getting 450 kills while aiming down sights of the scope that you’re looking to unlock the reticle on. It is the second to last reticle available for the scope.

The Triangulate reticle is one of the only darker-colored reticles in the game, giving it higher contrast on lighter environments, like snow and bright-colored buildings. It can make it a bit more difficult to read in other environments, but using it in the right situations can be quite nice.

Red Minimal

Unlocking the Red Minimal reticle requires getting 150 kills while aiming down the sights of the scope that you’re looking to unlock the reticle on. It is the fourth reticle available for the scope.

The Red Minimal Reticle keeps the upper half of the scope largely untouched, with horizontal lines reaching almost all the way to each side and a vertical line stretching downwards. It’s a very open scope while still having the minimum required lines to help triangulate.

Atomic

Unlocking the Atomic reticle requires getting 2,000 Zombie kills while aiming down sights of the scope that you’re looking to unlock the reticle on. It is the last reticle available for the scope.

The Atomic reticle makes the list for two reasons: it is one of the most unique reticles in the game, and is alos still a highly usable reticle. The shape is very similar to other circle reticles, but the color and width of the lines keep it from muddying up your visibility.
