Sony Releases New List of Games Confirmed to Be Getting PS5 Pro Upgrades

A new list of PlayStation 5 Pro enhanced games has been revealed by Sony days before the launch of the console. The PlayStation 5 Pro is Sony’s mid-gen refresh that’s set for release on November 7. Fans can expect a host of enhancements to the console, including an upgraded GPU, an extra terabyte of storage, advanced ray tracing, and more, though its $700 price tag has been the subject of controversy since its reveal.

There are already a number of high profile games that have been confirmed to receive PlayStation 5 Pro enhancements once the console becomes available. To nobody’s surprise, several major first-party PlayStation titles, like both Last of Us games, both Horizon games, all three Insomniac Spider-Man titles, and God of War Ragnarok, have all been confirmed with upgrades. Several big third party games have as well, like Alan Wake 2, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Resident Evil 4, and Lies of P. Even freshly released blockbusters like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be enhanced for PlayStation 5 Pro come November 7.

The list is packed with huge titles, like Hogwarts Legacy, Bladur’s Gate 3, Palworld, Rise of the Ronin, Stellar Blade, and more, including two of the most recent AAA Star Wars games, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws. Even the big multiplayer live service mainstays like Fortnite, Apex Legends, The Finals, and The First Descendant are getting the PS5 Pro treatment.

Time will tell whether any of 2025’s major releases, like Monster Hunter Wilds, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, or Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will see PS5 Pro enhancements at launch. So far, it doesn’t seem like any of the Xbox games that made their way over to PlayStation 5 this year, like Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, or Pentiment, have been confirmed for PS5 Pro upgrades. Furthermore, it’ll be interesting to see whether Indiana Jones and the Great Circle or Doom: The Dark Ages, two huge upcoming Xbox releases, will be enhanced for the Pro when they make their way to PlayStation in 2025.

There likely won’t be any more games added to Sony’s PS5 Pro enhancement list before the console’s launch, which is mere days away. Once the console is out, fans should be able to expect regular updates from Sony confirming older and upcoming games set to receive a PS5 Pro makeover. Whether Sony’s mid-gen refresh can overcome its $700 price tag is yet to be seen, though its impressive list of enhanced titles will surely be of help.

Sony’s PlayStation 5 Pro is the mid-generation evolution of the PS5, one that comes with an improved GPU and 2TB of storage space. The graphics card is advertised to offer 67% more compute units than the base PS5, along with 28% faster memory. The PS5 Pro also uses AI to offer an enhanced resolution for 4K TV and Advanced Ray Tracing.

The console does not come with a disc drive or a vertical stand, both of which are sold separately.
