Key Takeaways
- Pokemon will be expanding its Comfy Friends plush collection later this week via these four new additions.
- Mimikyu, Hisuian Zorua, Venonat, and Komala will join the range on November 9, 2024.
- The plushes will be exclusively available in Japan to begin with but will hopefully get a worldwide release shortly after.
Much like actual Pokemon, there are a lot of Pokemon plushes to keep track of. Not just because of the amount of Pokemon that have been turned into plushes so far, but also because of the different Pokemon plush categories there are out there. Many of those collections are being added to on a regular basis, and later this week its Comfy Friends range will be expanded by four.
Pokemon’s Comfy Friends collection is still pretty limited with only 25 ‘mons having been given the honor of becoming a plush in this particular range. They’re called Comfy Friends because the main selling point of plushes in this particular selection, and what sets them apart from other Pokemon plush types, is they’re softer and more cuddly. That combined with the fact they’re ever-so-slightly bigger than a standard Pokemon plush also means they’re a tad more expensive.

The Comfy Friends collection will grow from 25 to 29 later this week when its four new additions are released on November 9 (thanks, PokeJungle). Joining the 25 Pokemon already part of the range are Mimikyu, Venonat, Komala, and Hisuian Zorua. A really diverse range of Pokemon that might feel random, but a lot of thought will have gone into the selections with the minds at The Pokemon Company trying their best to appeal to as many fans as possible.
Pokemon’s Four Next Comfy Friends Plushes Go On Sale Later This Week
Mimikyu, Venonat, Hisuian Zorua, And Komala
How big the new plushes will be and how much they will cost hasn’t yet been revealed. However, the majority of Comfy Friends plushes are $39.99 and sit somewhere between 12 and 18 inches tall, so safe to assume these four new additions will be similar in price and size. Unfortunately, we won’t know the price part for a while. The four new plushes will be exclusive to the Japanese Pokemon Center when released on November 9 which means we will be waiting an undetermined amount of time for them to arrive in the US.
It usually doesn’t take long for Pokemon to release plushes outside of Japan provided it can guarantee they will sell well. Since Mimikyu is among this week’s new batch, it’s probably safe to assume these Comfy Friends will be available in the US sooner rather than later. Pokemon is well aware of how popular Mimikyu is, re-releasing its 22.5-inch plush of the Ghost-type ahead of Halloween this year.
